Peter Parker, also known as The Matchmaker 2.0, was getting excited. He had a plan, and this plan would wind up getting him bragging rights and 50 bucks. Of course, if it failed, he would lose 50 but he hasn't had a plan fail in nearly 3 weeks now.

It took him exactly 4 minutes to calculate the correct dosage of Fluothane for a super soldier. It took him 18 seconds to carefully measure out the determined dose. It took him 14 minutes to create a method and vessel that releases the gas into the air. It took him 12 minutes to crawl through the vents and position the relatively harmless gas.

It took the Star-Spangled-Man-With-A-Plan exactly 3 seconds to be fooled into walking straight (at least, as straight as he can, with the huge crush on Bucky) into an unimportant room on the 86th floor of the tower, where he lived with the rest of the Avengers. It took him 4 seconds to realise something was wrong. It took him 13 seconds to fall unconscious to the floor, gas-masked Peter standing over him grinning.

Bucky was a light sleeper. A really light sleeper. He could wake up at the slightest change of temperature, the tiniest movement in the air. Sometimes, it was annoying, never getting a solid night's sleep. Other times, it saved his life (or his hair colour, because both Clint and Peter had tried to dye it). Naturally, he noticed the man he had a huge crush on being carefully placed next to him on the couch where he had finally fallen asleep, safe from the nightmares that plagued him. He noticed Peter, wearing a gas mask, smirking. He noticed, through eyes so narrowed that he could just barely see, Peter thank Loki under his breath that he appeared asleep.

Peter, from Clint's nest in the vents, had a perfect vantage point to see both super soldiers as they sleep (he didn't mean to be creepy, he just wanted to see (film) their reactions). It was perfectly situated so that he could see both men's faces. He noticed, when he got up into the vents, that Bucky's eyes were open. He noticed, when Steve woke up, the blush that stole across his face at the close proximity to the Winter Soldier. He noticed the mix of fear and utter adoration in Bucky's eyes. He noticed, barely containing a squeal, when they closed the few inches between their lips.

Natasha noticed that she owed Peter 50 bucks when she saw the video Peter sent her. She didn't mind, though. It'd come from Stark's bank account and he deserved it. She really hadn't thought he'd be able to get them to kiss by the end of the week.

Peter noticed, about 2 hours after he witnessed his plan's success, that Steve could run really fast for an old man, and the broom closet he was trapped in had a lot of spiders.
