"Beep. Beep. Beep." I woke up to the sound of my hideous alarm going off, and I rolled over to slam my hand down on it to shut it the fuck up. Mornings are hell for me because it really takes a lot to force myself to get up and start the shitty day. I get up and gather my clothes that I plan to wear today, and I jump in the shower before my mother comes upstairs to see if I'm alive or not. As the water runs, I grab my phone and put today's hits on my Pandora. Olivia Rodrigo's "good 4 u" came on, and I started to jam out in the shower. After I had my mini concert with that song, Justin Bieber's song "Stay" came on.

"Ugh, are you kidding me?" I said aloud in the shower as I reached out to switch the song. Don't get me wrong, I love Justin. His voice is so amazing, and the song is very good, but the other child that sings with him is what bothers me. I grew up with Charlton, or should I say "The Kid Laroi". We were great friends. Hell, we were the bestest of friends, but that all changed when he started becoming a selfish, arrogant, famous dude. When I was 16, my mom and I left Australia and moved to LA because she was pursuing her acting career. I supported her, but I also didn't want to leave my best friend. Even through the long ass distance we still stayed great friends, but when he started his rapping career, he became very different. I supported him through everything, but that didn't seem to be enough for him, so I would like to pretend that he doesn't exist.

"Theresa, are you getting ready?" my mother yelled through the bathroom door.

"Yes, mother. Do you not hear the shower currently running?"

"I do, but normally you have the water running for 30 minutes before you even get in the shower." She is very correct with that statement. I generally play on my phone, or take a million pictures in the mirror for my Instagram.

"Well, I'm about to get out of the shower mom." I yelled.

"Okay, well hurry up. We don't want to miss your party, okay?"

"How could I ever forget my lovely birthday party?" I asked sarcastically. Every year, my mother throws me a huge birthday party because she thinks it will make me happier. Jokes on her, it never makes me happy it actually kinda makes me upset, but I would never tell her that. Charlton and I actually share a birthday weirdly enough, but we haven't celebrated together since I left Australia. We used to have these big parties together, so I think that is why my mother still tries to have these huge parties in hopes that he may show up to one? I very much disagree with her thoughts because he has his own huge parties with all these famous people there celebrating with him. Lucky for me, I always am met with all the pictures he posts when I go on my Instagram, so I just decide to not look at Instagram at all today.

I got out of the shower and put my clothes on.

This is my 19th birthday, so I wanted to look really good for no reason at all! I bought this dress forever ago and never had a reason to wear it, so I figured today would be the perfect occasion

This is my 19th birthday, so I wanted to look really good for no reason at all! I bought this dress forever ago and never had a reason to wear it, so I figured today would be the perfect occasion. I walked over to my closet and looked around until I found my gold heels. I put them on and walked to my vanity to fix my hair and put on some makeup.
