Chapter 3: Craziness at the Cafeteria

I wake up and find myself in the nurse's office. "She's awake!" Mika and Bridgette are next to me. "Grrrr, Troy is going to GET IT next time I see him!" Mika says angrily. "What happened?" I ask, looking around. "Well, Troy hit you in the face, you know that. Then, you fell to the ground unconscious and Jake carried you to the nurse's office. You slept here for about an hour, and when it was lunch time, we ran here to see you." Bridgette explains quickly. "Come on, let's get you to the cafeteria." Mika says. I walk to the cafeteria with Bridgette and Mika. We go to our usual lunch table with Isabel, Sophia, and Skyler. "Jessie's here, guys!" Skyler cheers, pointing at me. "Oh my gosh, we were so worried!" Isabel chatters. "Troy is going to like, meet my fist!" "Are you ok?" Sophia asks in her shy tone. "Yes, I'm fine." I try to smile. OW! Ok, smiling is NOT a an option. "Look, guys. She's even uglier than usual. I didn't even think that was possible!" Vanessa snickers at the next table. "She looks like a hippo got punched in the face!" Ryan laughs. "That's because she IS!" Eva says. "Like, fudge off, guys." Isabel narrows her eyes. Selena looks a little nervous, and she's cuddling a stuffed bunny. "Who's gonna make us?" Mason puts his hands on his hips. "You better listen to the girl!" Bridgette warns. "Ha! To Isabel? Ms. Like-like-like?" Vanessa laughs. "For, like, your information, I don't say 'like' like, THAT much." Isabel fights back. Mika rolls her eyes a little. I can see Sophia trying to back into a corner, and her face was turning a bit pink. "Come on, guys. Maybe we should leave them alone." Selena says quietly. "Yeah! What have we ever done to you? Especially since one of YOUR little teammates hit our friend in the face!" Skyler points at Troy. Troy blushes. "Well uh, she deserved it!" "What did I do?" I ask. This is NOT going to end well. "Umm..." Troy looks at his feet. Vanessa looks really angry for some reason. Suddenly, Bridgette's boyfriend, Matthew, comes over. "Hey, babe." He smiles at Bridgette. "Oh, Matthew! Hi!" Bridgette kisses him on the cheek. By now, Vanessa's face is really red. She grabs Matthew and kisses him! On the LIPS! Bridgette starts crying. "Haha! Losers!" Vanessa sticks out her tongue at us while she kisses Matthew again, who is dumbfounded. "Come on, Bridgette. Vanessa's an asshole. You know Matthew won't be a jerk enough to go with Vanessa!" Isabel says, comforting Bridgette. "Actually, with the probability of Vanessa's ability to function her lips, it may be possible that she is persuasive enough to convince Matthew to become hers." I mutter. "Jess, now isn't exactly the time to be brainy." Mika raises an eyebrow. "Sorry, I can't help it." I shrug. Vanessa seems to be getting joy out of making us cry, so she pushes Skyler to the ground and she lands on her butt. "Ow!" Skyler cries. "Not cool!" "THAT'S. IT. YOU ARE SO GOING DOWN!" Sophia yells, punching Vanessa to the ground. Everyone in the cafeteria shuts up and watches as Sophia takes down everyone. I have never seen Sophia so mad! Usually she's just quiet and shy, not this raged. "AND DON'T MESS WITH MY FRIENDS EVER AGAIN!" Sophia finishes. "Wow, Sophia. That was really... Violent." Bridgette says, who had stopped crying. "Sorry, I get a little mad when someone disses my friends, or does something mean." Sophia says. Everyone had started talking again, so we did too like it was a normal lunch day at the cafeteria.
