Re:Periodic Section
Q: How'd you come up with the mc's abilities? I run into this problem far too often when I'm thinking of ideas, so it'd be nice to know. Also, great story!
A: Thanks! :) Regarding the mc's abilities, especially the authorities, are mainly diminished versions of the archbishops and witches but still better than Subaru's giant gap in power. I made a few tweaks here and there, and just made the name that has relations to the sin present. For example, mc's future authority of sloth, Imperceptible Extensions, is a name that was made up from (Imperceptible= synonym of invisible and unseen) and (extensions, which relates to mc's power which you'll find out later!). For the Authority of Deceit, it was based on many things. Periodic Table was a passion of mine, and that was the base of the idea. Pure Truth, Critical Overload, and 'Suitoru' were abilities I thought the mc would use to create better scenarios and actually have some power to defy fate itself. If you were coming up with an ability, focus on what you want your mc to have, and how it would benefit them. As for fancy ability names... I took a lot of inspirations from other languages, namely Javanese, Greek, Japanese, Latin, German, Chinese, etc. If you guys didn't notice yet, Cahya and Bayanga (future spirit for mc) means light and shadow in Javanese, which befits their titles as Great Spirits of Yang and Yin!
