"Hey I'm losing you . You need to get out of his direct fire " I say as my brother maneuvers his character on the screen . Now my character was in trouble . I maneuver my character out of the enemy fire and hurdled a huge bolder at him. The other character frantically tired to move out of the way of the bolder but to no avail . "Winner ! Players 1 & 2 " the screen flashes at us as we bask in our several minutes of fame . "Wanna go again ? " I ask Mark . "No, I think I'm gonna head upstairs and take a nap " He responds . Mark's been like this for weeks and his friends are worried . I'm worried . "Are u okay ? You aren't yourself " I say as I place my hand on his shoulder . "I'm fine just under the weather " He says . "Alright " I respond shutting his door and heading down the stairs . "There's something wrong with Mark " I say to our mother . "Really ? I see what you mean . I'm taking him to the E.R tonight . Go call him please " My mother responds . "Mark ! Mark ! M-A-R-K !!!!! " I yell as I scurry up the stairs . As I enter his room, my mom hears me scream . She dashes up the stairs and helps me carry Mark to the car . Soon we are driving to the E.R . The doctors at the E.R stare with disbelief as they run a pet scan and Mark lights up like a Christmas tree in his waist and legs area down . "It's osteosarcoma " They finally announce to us . My mother stares with disbelief and then regains her composure and asks questions . I have the same look I did before and I just sit and listen to what my brother has to go through . "It will be a long and painful process . There will be months of Chemo, surgeries and most likely he will be losing a limb and going through rehab to rehabilate him back on his legs . He will lose his hair and be weak for a year till he regains his strength " the doctor says . I remember the days before Mark passed away ...

"Hi Mark , how's was chemo " I asked . "It was tiring , can you help me upstairs " He replies . "Sure, right this way " I say guiding him up the stairs . I helped him settle in his chair near the window . I headed back downstairs to my homework which was sitting on the kitchen counter . I proceeded to do my fish titled homework named Math Homework . A month passed and on the night of April 26th, Mark was taken for his 4th surgery . He clutched his overnight duffel and stood waiting for my parents with that same lost soul look . My parents kissed me and said they would be back . Several weeks passed and I was allowed to see Mark in the hospital . He had several tubes on his arm and a tube up his nose and a little thing on his finger . He waved at me and I smiled. Months passed and Mark was declared Cancer Free ! A year later and Mark was back in the hospital getting a P.E.T scan done and they learned he lit up again with tumor in his brain . They gave him the option to have surgery done . They did some Chemo sessions and it shrunk the tumors but not by much . So he agreed to the surgery and they did the surgery and kept him in the ICU . Then he was allowed to a regular hospital room . A couple months passed and they finally decided to put him in Hospice Care . He stayed in Hospice Care for two whole years then on July 18th, 2017 two days before my birthday , my brother passed away in his sleep .

I still missed him terribly . His laughter still fills our house and every time I stand in front of his bedroom door . I climbed the stairs and stopped in front of his door . "Hey sis, you okay ? Ruff day ? " My brothers voice rings out as I picture him in his special chair .
