FIRST GLANCES
The blurb caught my attention. The next best thing to the book cover for me and the main cause of why you should read this book is the blurb. And can I just say, Masked Girl's blurb was what I looked forward to.
If the author, Masked, is possibly reading this,
I want to gladly shake you by the hand for thinking of this. Hello, I'm Tavia nice to meet you, I admire your works wholeheartedly. I'm not passing out by shaking your hand. Not at all.
Hello, Masked I admire you a lot let's talk about Rifton and catch up with some tea or maybe coffee sometime? Yeah, I love you.
CHARACTERS
Where do I start with this? Whew, okay, the characters.
The most important basis of this story is the characters. Well yeah I mean they are the characters but, they live the story more than act as a pawn for you to read.
Masked announced this once but I'll say it again:
Selene Chan listens to SOUR.
That's final and Masked says so too.
At first, I wasn't sure how to feel about Selene, though being our main character, I didn't like her actions at first but her development got me eventually. No character is perfect in this story. Everything felt so raw and yet bittersweet.
I came to also appreciate each character including:
Natalie
Gillian
Annalisa
Rianne
Juliette
You know what I said about how everything felt raw right?
