I have a love for psychology, Sociology, and how it affects people. This book will be educational and emphasize the real struggle people go through with Mental Illnesses.

This book will be TRIGGERING and UPSETTING to some people. So, read at your leisure. But, it will also be MATURE. This will be my only warning; I don't want to see comments upset about the uncomfortable situations. It will be a thriller and fictional psychological work. If you see anything that I get wrong or misunderstood about these issues, then please let me know; I am learning as well :P
This book will be captivating, and possible emotional triggers will occur. However, I DO want this to be a safe place to talk about personal experience with mental health and toxic relationships/ environments. So please feel free to speak as I will as well.
MOVING FORWARD
Dissociative Identity Disorder involves a lack of connection with one's true self. Thus, becoming split off or dissociated. However, the people with this disorder exhibit two or more different identities. These identities are so advanced that they have separate personal histories , likes and dislikes—some Alters like protecting and preventing the host from feeling threatened or avoiding traumatizing memories. "There is strong evidence that traumatic experiences can cause people to experience states of dissociation, suggesting that dissociative states—including the adoption of multiple personalities—may serve as a psychologically crucial coping mechanism for threat and danger "(Dalenberg et al., 2012).
