Blanca's pov
Rested at the center of the Great Celestial Empire, where the monarchy resides, is the Capital. Broken up into different sections, each section can be differentiated by wealth and status. And although the gap between the rich and poor continuously grows, there's one thing that every section shares, the undying devotion for the Goddess Empusa. A massive oversized cathedral dedicated to the one and only god, where priests spend their livelihood preaching her good name.
And since the majority of the population make frequent visits, there's no shortage of potential customers making the Capital the ideal place for merchants to set up shop. The market is always bustling with people from tourists to locals.
Blanca, quick on her feet expertly guides the Saintess through the toughest of crowds, dodging and weaving speeding carriages, and slipping away from scammers and pickpockets. Stopping in front of a well-sized shop, and letting Serena catch her breath.
"I'm glad you know your way around," Serena said between heavy breaths, pulling down her robe to cover more of her face.
"You've only been in this world for a short period of time," Blanca laughed. "You'll get the hang of it."
"Blanny!" Iris joyously greets her in the loudest voice imaginable, bursting through the door tackling her, "It's been a while."
Not even upset about the sudden surprise attack, the snow-haired young lady simply smiled and patted the happy girl's head, "as I have mentioned before, it's Blanca, not Blanny."
"Yes ma'am," Iris cheerfully salutes, clinging tightly onto her.
Blanca entered the shop, notifying the shopkeeper inside with a pleasant ding of the bell.
"What brings you here, Blanca?" Amelia greets the two guests and one chihuahua, "I thought you would be too busy to stop by."
"And you assumed correctly," Blanca nodded. "I only need to find something proper for the Saintess to wear that's more befitting a lady of her position."
"Couldn't you just buy a dress from another store instead?" Iris asked, lazily leaning against the counter.
"None of the other shops meets my expectations, therefore..." As Blanca said this, piles of clothes, fabrics, and sewing materials rained onto the register counter. Various materials scattered across the counter, overflowing as some buttons clinked and ribbons fluttered down to the wooden floor. During her speedrun through the market earlier, she took heed of collecting anything that she deems useful.
"What is this?" Amelia frowned at the mess on her working station.
"Isn't it obvious?" Blanca spoke in a teasing manner, "and here I thought you were the smartest out of all of us."
"Hahaha, smart," Iris giggles tossing on a preppy outfit and poorly imitating Ameilia, "I'm named after a flower, I read books, I don't know what clothes are."
"Very funny," Amelia rolls her eyes. "Iris, we're all named after flowers."
"Pfft," The blue-haired girl stifled her laughter. "Are you really gonna say that in front of those two?" She said, gesturing to the others in the room.
Amelia sighed in annoyance, bringing her attention back to the Lefèvre heiress, "And of course I know what this is, I am asking why did you buy these materials because every time you do something like this it usually doesn't end well."
"Whatever are you implying, dear Amelia" Blanca asked, blinking innocently.
"Oh, I don't know..." Amelia rolled her eyes. "Maybe all those times you wasted our funds on a prototype that doesn't sell!."
