Two updates in one day, who is dis??

Sorry I don't have a routine. At this point I'm just updating whenever I get the chance.

So I want to start exploring the other characters too, beginning with the amazing Aunt May because I just know she's the kind of lady to love on everyone.

Enjoy all! And please leave feedback! I don't really know what you guys would like to see otherwise!

MJ's POV

Michelle didn't take her phone to the bookshop and she hadn't dared look at it until now. With Peter's spoken plan to go do some spidering out on the town and a final kiss on the cheek before he disappeared out of the window, she sat on the couch, took a deep breath and switched on her phone.

Almost immediately, her phone began to buzz with multiple calls and messages from her mother.

She didn't bother to read the messages. With a sigh, she began to call her.

Emily Jones picked up on the second ring.

"Michelle?" her voice was high pitched, surprisingly worried. "Where the hell are you?"

"Hey mum," she mumbled in response. She didn't really know what else to say.

"Where are you? You disappeared and never came home."

"I'm surprised you remember me leaving."

"Don't give me attitude. Where are you? Are you safe?"

Hmmm. That was surprising. Usually, her mother wasn't one to be openly worried about her whereabouts.

"I'm staying with a friend, mum."

"You don't have any friends."

Well ouch. Her mum didn't fuck around and frankly, that pissed MJ off.

"There's a lot you don't know about me mum," she told her, slumping back against the couch and picking at a loose strand on one of Parker's t-shirts absentmindedly.

"Because you never tell me anything! You're always shut up in your room."

"It's not like you care," she scoffed in return.

"Damn it, Michelle. Tell me exactly where you are!"

"Don't pretend to give a shit about me, mum! Why do you think I'm always in my room? I'm hiding from you! And I'm hiding from those god awful men that you bring home."

"Are you trying to get some twisted sort of revenge on me?" Emily was growing angry. "I'm worried about you. Come home."

"I'm not coming home, not yet. It's not safe for me."

"What the fuck does that mean? I'd never hurt you!"

That wasn't true. Just seeing her mother drunk and drugged was a fucking ordeal but she supposed her mum was somewhat right.

"I'm not talking about you. I'm talking about those awful men."

She was up and pacing now, anger making her body thrum with built up energy.

"They wouldn't hurt a fly and you know it."

"No, mum. I don't."

"They're just friends!"

"Friends you fuck and then piss off. They're all the same."

"What do you mean?"

"I mean," she breathed out. Fuck, was she going to do this? She decided to test the waters. "I mean that one of those men did hurt me, mum. I can't be at home if you're bringing them home too."
