scaramouche's face contorted to that of a disgusted look when he heard rather disturbing noises coming from beidou and ningguang's apartment. he wonders why y/n chose to live in this apartment block, although the thought was short lived when he heard y/n swearing from behind the front door.

their mother, ei, stood behind scaramouche; her amethyst eyes displaying a concerned look as she heard various noises far into the corridor.

"are you sure this is where you both live?" ei asked. she scratched her forehead expressing that she was uncomfortable, however scaramouche just shrugged as an answer.

"i mean yeah? why wouldn't i know whe-"

"XIAO STOP IT YOU KNOW I CAN'T WALK-"

"i don't care, that's just too bad on your behalf-"

"on second thought, maybe i don't," scaramouche said abruptly after hearing something he didn't really want the context behind at all. he shook his head and lightly coughed to clear the air, then proceeded to input the passcode to enter the apartment.

'bzzt!' was the only thing that could be heard after inputting the code. "what the hell..." said the boy, sighing when he realized that he might've gotten locked out on purpose.

more shuffling could be heard from inside the apartment, so scaramouche decided to start knocking harshly. he knew that y/n wouldn't let them in (you didn't hear it from me, but y/n didn't want their mother making fun of them for the leg).

"y/n open the fucking door before i get the landlord on your ass-"

"-watch your mouth kuni." ei glared at her son, mentally hitting him for using profanity. scaramouche looked at his mother and furrowed his eyebrows at the nickname, then responded with the middle finger.

"kuni~ you know i can't do that! i can't open the-"

"-door..." the apartment door was gently opened by none other than xiao, since he was the only one who could physically move around without cowering in pain.

"-ah shit, here we go again-"
