One Week, Two Days After Kidnapping [04:23]
A couple more days have passed, and nothing much has changed in regards to her predicament; other than the privilege to have privacy when she had to use the bathroom.
From where he got the clothes he gave her, she'd rather not know, but at the very least they weren't his, nor did they seem recently used.
She hasn't made an attempt at escape yet, but she also hasn't gotten much more information out of him ever since she accused him of being a monster indirectly, and even that 'conversation' didn't bear much to gain from.
In spite of the fact that she knew she needed to converse with him, she found that it was easier to ignore him.
Every time she tried to hype herself up to start something, or even force herself to even think of replying to any of his smart assed comments, she simply couldn't without wanting to just burst out all of her frustrations onto him in one big screaming mess
It didn't help that it eventually came to both their attention that he still needed to take her chain off in order for her to properly strip herself of all articles of clothing, and even then, he would wait outside the door to put the chain on before she could even think to knee him in the head and make a run for it.
She wanted to lean her head against the tiled walls of the bathroom as she thought, but being all too aware of the fact that she shared a bathroom with her captor didn't make the thought as appealing as it originally was. She was constantly on edge, and this small space was really her only comfort at this point.
"Oi!" A gruff voice that was quickly followed by two strong knocks interrupted her ruminating.
Opening her eyes, she glared disdainfully at the streaming water below as it flowed towards the drain. She didn't bother giving him a reply; the sound of the shower knob turning and the lack of water droplets hitting the tiles were enough cues for him to know that she got the message.
'You're taking too long.'
Quickly drying herself and throwing on the clothes that were placed on the sink, she began to hesitate opening the door; the sight of him covered in blood from head to toe still fresh on her mind.
It disturbed her, but it was also slowly showing her that he and the people that lived there did seem to have a system. It just so happened that she was unfortunate enough to be awake this time to see him arrive from wherever it was he went at night.
Normally she was conked out whenever he was back, so she never had to see him arrive from what she could only assume was a kill.
She always made sure to be up the whole time he was gone, searching every single nook and cranny whilst doing her best not to leave any traces of her snooping for anything that could better unlock the chain. And in order to not draw suspicion, she would try her best to pretend to sleep if she wasn't already whenever she heard his familiar footsteps in the hallway.
How she was able to differentiate him from the others that walked that hall, she had no idea, but it brought no comfort to her that there really were more outside. Though, she did notice that it was deathly silent during the morning. She was slowly gaining the impression that maybe, just maybe, they were only out and about at night and retired during the day. As feeble and weak of an opening as it was, it gave her enough hope to continue looking for a way to free herself from those blasted chains, which was why she hadn't noticed him coming back this time around.
Steeling herself, she finally pulled the door open and kept her eyes to the floor.
"Gee, I thought you finally decided to drown yourself in there with how long you were taking. Tsk." He was clearly in a fit. Whatever happened today seemed to have pissed him off.
