Writer's pov.
Everyone was busy preparing for the wedding, even though both the families agreed on a simple marriage. Elora, who was sitting in her room, accepted her fate and was preparing for her life ahead. Because she knew that sitting and moping like a damsel in distress would not help her.
So, she started preparing, even though she does not believe in God; She always remembers the saying, ' whatever happens, happens for good'.
On the other side, Reyansh was busy in his office. He was more rude and hostile to his employees than usual. Everybody was in fear of their boss's temper.
When he reached home, his mom reminded him about their leave to India- the next day. Reyansh grunted and left to his room.
He was busy thinking about his life and what would happen when he got married. He was stressed, so he decided to call his elder brother, Druv, and his best friend.
"Hello Bhai, bhabhi. How are you both doing? And how is my little princess." He cooed.
"Hi Ansh, we are fine and even our princes are fine. You tell me about yourself. I heard you are getting married. Don't you have any shame, I am your elder brother. You couldn't even bother to inform me yourself? ". he asked. His voice went from soft to angry in a matter of seconds.
"Chill Bhai, I forgot to tell you. And it's not like you are coming to my wedding, are you? You are just busy with my friend and your princess. Anyways, I haven't even met the girl or seen her photo for that matter. I don't like her. I'm just marrying her for our parent's happiness." Reyansh said in a cold voice.
Dhruv sighed- he knew his brother was stubborn and hard-headed. But he has to give this wedding a try. Because he knew his parents never made a bad decision.
He tried consoling him but he just ignored him and changed the subject to their vacation.
Dhruv smiled, thinking of his wife and princes, Abhay and Nirbhay.
He met Amelia through his brother. He was out in another country since he was a teenager. So he never met her before. But when he came back from abroad, to stay with his family. He met Amelia one day when he was going to call his brother for dinner. She was sitting on the bed in shorts and his brother's hoodie. She was looking like an angel, and he instantly felt a pull and longing towards her. But when he noticed his brother's hoodie, he thought she was his girlfriend, and in a fit of rage and jealousy, left the room. Later, he came to know from his mother that they both were best friends. So he decided to make a move towards her. She was a spitfire who was not ready to give in but, Dhruv tried his best, and in the end, she finally caved in. They dated for four years, then Dhruv finally gathered the courage to pop the question. He was the happiest man alive when she said yes.
Now three years later, here they are. Living their lives happily.
He wished the same for his little brother. To be happily married. He was 28 for God's sake, and Dhruv saw no hope for him in the girl's department. And according to him, their parents did the right thing. Because they selected the girl who will be the best for him. At least he would not get a bitch or a gold-digging whore, as a wife.
