"Amber one of the movers said they wrote down the directions to a local restaurant on a sticky note on one of the boxes somewhere in the hall if you wanted to go grab yourself some dinner." Amber could hear her Dad yell from somewhere downstairs.

"Yeah I'd kill for some dinner right about now." Amber yelled back in response battering her way through all the moving boxes that started to congregate on the stairs and in the hall. "This the right one Dad? The Wreck?" She questioned holding up the note waiting for either for her dad to pop up or to answer her.

"Yeah that sounds about right." her dad told her coming from around the corner.

"Did you and Mam already have dinner or do you need me to bring you back something?" Amber questioned her dad stacking and moving loads of the boxes out of the way to make a pathway to the front door.

"Oh no your mother and I are fine we only ate some chips we found while sorting through all of the kitchen boxes, thanks though love." Her dad responded as he started to walk up the stairs.

"Okay no problem I'll be back soon I just have to find this place first and hope that it's still open by the time I get there."

"Yeah no problem love just remember your way back and I'll ring you if we need anything. Also don't stay out all night I only built your new bed frame." her Dad told her as she started making her way towards the front door to find her trucks keys.

"Yeah no problem Dad, I'll be back soon don't worry." Amber told him laughing as she opened the door.

She grabbed her keys and ran out the door jumping over all the dead shrubs and plants as if her whole garden was just an obstacle course and headed over to her truck already mentally groaning at how much of a pain this constant dead heat was going to be. On the road trip down from the airport she'd given most of her clothes to a local goodwill because they were just too warm for this type of climate. She'd only been left with a couple random t-shirts, shorts and bathing suits. She'd also gotten herself a cool 2006 burnt orange pickup truck on the trip down for only a couple of hundred dollars but she thought that would be a good way to spend some of the money her Grandma left to her after she died.

How the hell did it take her fifty minutes to drive twelve minutes down the street not even she knows. With the help from a couple cute locals she was well on her way but of course with her luck it started lashing rain as soon as she pulled up to park.

Hoping out of her truck and instantly getting drenched she decided she'd run through the car park trying to get to the door faster but only managing to hurt her ankles in all the hidden flooded potholes.

Running up the ramp it didn't look that promising, the lights looked like they were off and there were no other cars parked anywhere. "Just my fucking luck why wouldn't it be." she muttered under her breath making her way back down the ramp back towards her truck.

"Hey sorry I just closed up but I can make you a sub or something if you're hungry?" She heard a girls voice call out from behind her.

Turning around on her heels she made eye contact with a stunning looking brunette. "You know what I'd kill for a sandwich." Amber said giving the brunette a huge smile.

"Sorry we don't usually close this early but nobody is usually bothered to come out this late especially when it's raining." The brunette told Amber waving her hand instructing Amber to follow her inside. Amber was left standing awkwardly at the door looking at some of the pictures on the walls while the brunette put on her apron and quickly disappeared behind the counter to which the girl would only assume to be the kitchen.
