Chameleon sighs remembering how his mother was making him go to Jade Mountain Academy. "Well", Chameleon thought "At least I can see Shadowhunter."
Spirit looked at him knowing he wasn't that happy about going to Jade Mountain.
"Cheer up, Chameleon , I'm coming with you!" Spirit says happily.
"Yes, because seeing the ghost I see everyday coming with me to school will be so fun." Chameleon says sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
"Hey!", Spirit glares at him, "Just because I'm a ghost doesn't make me any less of a friend than Shadowhunter."
Chameleon ignored him "Come on we don't want to be late for school." Chameleon says unhappily.
*A bit later*
He was finally here Jade Mountain. Chameleon was thinking what he should do, when a dragon tackled him. He was about to yell at the stranger for tackling him when he saw it was Shadowhunter. Chameleon's heart skipped a beat, Shadowhunters flame like eyes, his toothy grin, and those burns on his wings. It weirdly made him go down memory lane. A time when he could just focus on being a kid, didn't have responsibilities, and could spend as much time as he wanted with Shadowhunter. He was snapped out of his daze by a familiar voice. Dragon Fruit, Shadowhunters sibling. They were saying how Shadowhunter shouldn't tackle hug unsuspecting dragons.
"It's ok, Dragon Fruit sure it's annoying but it's better than a random dragon doing it." Chameleon pointed out.
"I know how you're not the biggest fan of sneak attacks so I felt like he could've at least given you a warning." Dragon Fruit replied.
Chameleon wasn't the biggest fan of that sneak attack remark, he was about to leave until.
"I'm just happy I could see Chameleon. It's been forever since I've seen him!" says Shadowhunter
"Not forever, it's only been a month." Chameleon pointed out.
"But we used to spend so much time together until this year! Shadowhunter says whinely
Chameleon was about to call him a little baby dragonet until the both of them heard a cough behind them.
"You guys interacting no matter how much it pleases me. I really don't want any of the teachers telling them that I was late for the first day. So let's go." Dragon Fruit says matter of factly, while pointing to the entrance of Jade Mountain.
While they were walking to the entrance Shadowhunter whispered into his ear, "Let's pull a prank on Dragon Fruit later." Chameleon nodded, he remembered the pranks they pulled when they were younger. Spirit just was laughing the whole time, while this was happening.
"Luckily," Chameleon thought, "I'm the only dragon that can hear or see him."
