Chameleon was walking to his sleeping cave until Shadowhunter accidentally ran into him.
"Oh sorry!" says Shadowhunter, then he sees it's Chameleon, trying to seem as normal as possible, saying a really forced, "Hey." Thinking, "I'm the best actor ever, he doesn't even suspect a thing."
"Hi Shadowhunter" Chameleon replies, "Why is he sweating that much?" He thinks
They stood in awkward silence for a couple of minutes.
"Sorry!" says Shadowhunter suddenly
"For what? You already apologized for bumping into me?" asks Chameleon, confused
"For yelling at you and being rude at the lake, I'm sorry." Shadowhunter says with a bit too much sincerity and has a "I'm blatantly lying but let's hope this works" face.
Chameleon cocks his brow, "Really?"
"Yes I am. But I knew one of us would have to make an apology that neither one of us would ever mean, because we both think that we were in the right. But, in reality we're both wrong." Shadowhunter says trying to be serious, but failing miserably, exploding into giggles.
"You're correct for once. Please teach me your ways to be smart one." replies Chameleon, sarcastically.
"Simple, quote your parents." Replies Shadowhunter jokingly
"Oh yes what a wonderful idea." replies Chameleon, sarcastically, rolling his eyes.
"You Dare Oppose Me Mortal!" yells Shadowhunter, jokingly.
Then a Skywing poked their head out of a sleeping cave, yelling angrily, "Shut Up! It's late, dragons, like ME, are trying to sleep!"
"Sorry!" says Shadowhunter and Chameleon at the same time.
"Good!" says the Skywing and goes back into the sleeping cave.
"Well it is late so goodnight Chameleon see you tomorrow!" says Shadowhunter quietly.
"Goodnight Shadowhunter" replies Chameleon as Shadowhunter walks away, his heart hurting as he left.
"Why don't you just say you love him?" Spirit says smiling
"Shut up." replies Chameleon, walking to his sleeping cave.
