The medical cabin was silent. Frozen, mute The Alpha stood in between the two beds of the room: Hani's and the one in which his dead father laid. His eyes travelled and gazed his body; the body corrupted by the flames, with purplish flesh in some parts - no flesh at all had remained in others. However, in his mind, in front of him, it was his father the one that he saw, not a corpse ravaged by a fire. Jungkook saw the dark hair, the wide round eyes bright and kind, the wide shoulders and tall back that he often wondered if there ever would come the day, where his father would look small in his eyes. At that time, the thought was terrifying to him. He didn't want his father to become less than what he had created him to be; but, now, the image was even more horrifying, more painful to bear. Jungkook had with his own hands destroyed the vigorous image of his father and in its place, only the image of his destroyed body prevailed. This image that now engraved itself mercilessly into his mind was not one he wanted either, but if he were to destroy this one too, wouldn't he be erasing his own father from his mind? Wouldn't that be worse? Worse than killing him, forgetting him? Inevitably, Jungkook's body protested against his thoughts; his hand clutched Hani's. The girl turned her head to face his side profile, she drowned on the remorse and the regret that hovered his body. She was exhausted but her eyes refused to shut, for she worried for The Alpha's reaction once Jinsang opened his own eyes. The old man was, by Jungkook's request, attempting to "see" into Jungkook's father. The Alpha was determined to know what had happened to his father, after the fire and how he had ended up there, in that cabin in the woods. As if already the pain of losing him for the second time wasn't enough, Jungkook wanted to know everything; he wanted to be able to fully analyse and understand how far his guilt and responsibility for his death went.

"Alpha" Hesitantly, Daeun called out for Jungkook. His eyes shook violently, as if he had been ripped away from a dream. Immediately, he responded to Daeun and faced her, ignoring the dead body for now. "Everything is okay with The Luna and the baby, luckily. However, they need to rest. The amount of energy and strength that she exerted could have been really dangerous to the baby. From now on, please avoid pushing yourself too much Luna" Swiftly, her gaze shifted to Hani and in an almost pleading tone, she told her. "There's so little that we know about how your pregnancy will progress Hani. We don't have enough resources on top of that... We can't afford any more risks than the ones you are already in. From now on, rest, rest, rest and more rest."

Swallowing down the guilt that she felt, Hani painfully nodded her head. Jungkook threw her a scolding glance; more than ever, he was upset with the girl's stubbornness in deciding to join him that morning. Surely, Hani thought, Daeun's words would increase Jungkook's worry and inevitably, he would become less... flexible with her, to say the least. However, the sudden gasp that slipped from the old man's lips, forced that conversation to be pushed back. Abruptly, Jungkook turned around and with his gaze, he forced Jinsang to speak, to tell him everything he had seen, even if there were things that would scar The Alpha even more.

"Alpha... you never..." Warily, Jinsang eyed Jungkook; unsure if his words would cause an explosion of anger or revolt in him, that he wasn't ready to face. "You never entered the cabin on that day, did you?"

"No" Sharply, Jungkook stated. Briefly, he took a glance at the dead body of his father; painfully, he struggled to breathe. The words and the truth bubbled up in his mouth; a truth he wasn't sure he wanted to hear. "I... refused to enter. I didn't want to see it."

"I searched for your father, once I heard of what had happened." Heavily, Jinsang confessed as he gazed at the corpse. "At that time, I found it odd that there were marks on the floor, on the back of the house. They resembled footsteps, yet, I couldn't be sure. The wind could have moved the dirt, or the rain. But, after seeing into him, I'm... I'm certain. Your father, Jungkook, was able to escape from the fire."
