"MAL, STAY WITH US!" Lily yelled, putting her hand on the girl's chest and pressing carefully a few times

The girl let out a small gasp as she breathed into the sweet scent of air. Timothée let out a relieved sigh, kissing her forehead gently as he let out a few, muffled sobs.

"Baby, stay with me... Please. I can't do this without you."

Her chest continued to move up and down, a feeling of panic mixed with pain slowly trickling into her.

"Mal, I love you. I love you so much... Just focus on me."

"Please, Mal..."

He allowed tears to stream down his face, reaching out for her hand to hold it between his tightly.

"Don't leave me."

Lily let out a few tears that were stuck in her bright, blue eyes, then put her hand on Mal's cheek, which allowed her to stay focused for a few seconds.

"Mal, I love you... You know that, right?" Timothée spoke gently, reaching out to hug her. She didn't move a muscle for only a few seconds before she eventually gave in.

"Yeah. I know. I love you too."

"I just... I don't want you to get hurt. I don't want it to affect us in any way possible. You know what happened to relationships who came to light before..."

She shoved him away gently.

"I know, Timothée, and I couldn't care less. My fans love us together, and so do yours. Maybe you just don't to be seen with me."

She stared into his teary, green eyes, trying to shake away the memory, then realized that she didn't want to die. She didn't want to leave him.

She wanted to attend the Met Gala with him, and tell the whole world they were together.

She knew, at that moment, he was the most beautiful person she had ever met. Out of everyone she met, she knew he was the one.

She wanted to spend so much time with him.

She loved him a lot.

Her mind drifted off to Saoirse, wondering what was she doing at that very moment. She wondered if she would ever get to see her again. She wanted to, more than anything. She wanted to go shopping for groceries together, or go to the mall and pick out new clothes. Saoirse had the best taste in clothings.

She then took a look at Lily, who was sitting next to her, crying and telling her to hold on.

Lily only wanted a boyfriend like Timothée because he was, in fact, the best person anyone could ask for.

She wasn't jealous of her, but she was jealous of the fact that someone else but her could be with the most perfect person ever.

To her, Lily was a terrible, abusive person who couldn't get over a simple breakup.

She was a selfish person who wanted a human being all to herself.

That was what she thought of her before, at least.

But sitting in front of her was a broken, regretful person who stabbed someone, and now she was trying to help her to stay alive. For the sake of guilt. And maybe for the sake of Timothée. Or maybe for the sake of the fact that she didn't want to be a murderer.

Or the fact that maybe there was some good in her, even after all those year.

Maybe the dragonfruit wasn't so bad after all.
