They all waited at their positions , because by now the government would have noticed them. Percy and Annabeth stood side by side at the little openings at the wall , aiming their guns. Then they saw the first tank. Gunfire began. Nico rang the bell and everyone started shooting . Bodies dropped dead on both sides. Blood littered the ground. Percy suddenly found that his gun was empty and he didn't have the time to refill and the army was advancing. Percy grabbed a bow and arrow , the weapon he was weakest with . He fired arrow after arrow until some random kid handed a new gun. Just in time , Percy bitterly thought as the side of the hastily built wall exploded and the US army broke through. Percy fired again and warned them to leave or else. He held the general at gun point. But then two other soldiers came and aimed.
"Drop your weapon or we shoot." The fatter one said.
Percy wasn't afraid,but he would play their game. He dropped the man and bended over to drop his gun but right before he did,he fired at the men's feet and hit an artery. All three times. Percy stepped over the bodies and walked outside the fort and helped fire the cannons.
