Today, I was at work early, I got here at 6 stocking the shelves. We got some more college apparel from Nike in today. I was going to convince Asa to buy me some more clothes. Mainly because I had easier access to him than Jesse, Jesse would buy it for me.

This is my first day working since Jesse took Heather, but apparently she quit right before she left. Or Jesse's organization is really that good. Either way everyone knew she wasn't going to be working here for long. My shift was fairly relaxed, every now and then, someone would need help finding something. What I wasn't expecting was Jesse, Spann, and the school coordinator coming into the bookstore.

The coordinator was talking to Jesse about the bookstore. I assume they were showing Jesse around, despite him always being up here. Spann I assume was being a translator for him, so he won't have to use his phone to talk. Once he saw me in the store, I saw a smirk form. Spann followed his eyes and knew It was me.

Jesse disregarded the coordinator and approached me at the counter.

"How can I help you today, sir?" I beamed at him.

Looking past Jesse's side, I noticed a worried look on the coordinator's face.

I'm looking for someone, 5'4; long, brown, curly hair; and loves food a lot." Jesse signed.

"Oh I believe you can find that over here." I walked from behind the counter.

Jesse had an amused look on his face as I pulled him through the store. I showed him the shorts, leggings and sweatshirts that just came in.

"Which ones?" Jesse pointed to the clothes.

I grabbed all of what I wanted, Jesse got some sweats for him and Asa. I rung everything up for him.

"You gonna be busy tonight?" I signed to him.

"No, not tonight. You want to come over?" He asked me.

"Yeah, I'll be with Asa after this," I signed, " maybe we can have a sleepover." I told him.

"Yeah we can do that. I'll see you later." He leaned over the counter to kiss my forehead.

"Enjoy the rest of your day, sir!" I called after him.

I saw Spann smirking in amusement, the coordinator was a little confused, but kept talking.

My manager was looking at me odd too, until she came over to me.

"You know Mr. Cromeans?" She asked.

"Yeah he's a friend of mines, you can say." I grinned at her.

"Well as long as your relationship with him is nothing controversial, there's nothing I can say." She said.

"I know what you mean, it's nothing like that. I met him in a diner, before I knew who he was." I told her.

"Alright, you know now, he contributes to a lot of the things this school has. Including this store, so be mindful of that if you two decide to end your friendship." She said.

"Yeah, I doubt that." I thought about the ring I have.

I don’t like to wear it on my finger because it draws too much attention. I wear it on a chain around my neck, like a necklace.

Sometimes I wear it as an actual ring though, I may just wear it to class. No one is paying attention to what you're wearing in class, including a ring.

My shift ended fairly quickly and I went home, taking a very quick shower. I put on some jeans, a tank top. Placing my lab coat in my bag, I went to go grab a quick bite to eat. It was around 1 when I met up with Asa. He was in the break room, getting some coffee, as usual.

I walked in, and the teacher from the other day saw me again.

"Looking for someone again?" He said.

"Yeah."

"Once again, I doubt they're in here." The teacher shrugged.

"You don't even know who I'm looking for." I raised an eyebrow at the teacher.

"Well, currently, its 4 people in here. I'm talking to Mr. Daniels, Mrs. Bell is getting her lunch, and Dr. Emory doesn't talk much to anyone." He said.

"Well, I guess you know it all then." I gave him a smile.

He didn't appreciate that, but before he could say anything, Asa walked over to me.

"Be nice." He pointed at me.

"What?" I beamed at Asa.

"Let's go, stop trying to smart mouth." Asa turned me towards the hallway.

"I can't help it, when people don't mind there business after you give them an answer. He didn't know who I was looking for, I'm not doing anything malicious. Why are you constantly questioning me? I told you I was looking for someone, if you aren't going to help me find them, leave it at that." I said as I walked down the hall with Asa.

"Don't make me silence that smart mouth of yours." He said lowly in my ear.

"You don't strike me as a 'making out in the hallway' kind of guy, Dr. Emory." I smirked at him.

"You've been hanging around Jesse too much." He frowned, but had amusement in his eyes.

"What are you gonna do, put me on punishment?" I teased.

"I'm not your father." His face was stern.

"You're absolutely right, Jesse is daddy." I stuck my tongue out at him.

He moved very fast, and grabbed my tongue , I wasn't expecting that. Reacting accordingly, I put my mouth over his fingers, making sure to look him in the eyes.

Watching Asa's eyes dilate was very intriguing to watch, his eyes was breath taking already.

"Let's go into the lab before I have to punish you." He growled.

"Ooo, sound like my kind of punishment." I licked my lips at him.

"Yeah, you've been around Jesse too long." Asa shook his head as he opened the door for the lab for me.

Hanging my bag, taking out my lab jacket, I changed my shoes and put on some gloves. To my relief, Mrs. Glasse wasn't in the lab when I got there.

"Some of the bugs have been fed, but some haven't. Can you go around and feed the ones that haven't been fed. I have to check on those moths I've been telling you about." Asa told me.

"Alright, let me know if you need some help." I told him as he got his equipment.

I was on my fourth insect when Mrs. Glasse came in.

"Hello, Mrs. Glasse." I looked at her.

"Why are you in here?" She asked.

"I'm assisting Dr. Emory today." I turned my back to her.

"No, why do you keep coming here?" She said more sternly.

"Why not? I have nothing else to do, I like being in here." I shrugged.

"You aren't always in here to help, you aren't being discreet like you think you are." She said.

"Being discreet? About what?" I feigned shocked.

"You like him, and no he isn't interested." She said.

"He isn't interested, how would you know?" I raised my eyebrow, smirking at her.

That's when I realized the two men really was rubbing off on me. The thought made me giggle to myself.

"He's into grown, mature women." She said confidently.

"So you're saying he's into you? Aren't you married?" I looked at her amused.

"I am, but we're separated." She said.

"Hmm, if you say so." I turned to feed the insect I was on.

Asa came back into view.

"You've been on that one for 3 minutes, what's going on?" Asa, finally saw.

"Sorry, Dr. Emory I was side tracked by Mrs. Glasse , I'll get back to work." I told him.

Mrs. Glasse just scoffed at my response.

Asa raised his eyebrow looking at me, but I just sent a smirk his way. He shook his head and sat down at the microscope.

Once I got finished feeding everyone, Asa had me give him different bug samples. I wasn't sure what he was looking for, but they were all for moths. After a few hours, he wanted some more coffee.

"When do you plan on leaving?" I asked him.

"I'm not sure, but I do have somewhere to be tonight now that I remember." He said.

"Yes, you do." I teased.

"What do you want? I can just see it on your face." He had a blank face.

"I'm going to need a ride from you in the morning." I gave him a smile.

"I know, I already planned on doing that." He said.

"Great, I appreciate you, insetto ragazzo." I teased.

"Maestro!" He said as I left the lab, confusion on Mrs. Glasse face.

I got his coffee, and returned back to the lab.

"No drinking in the lab, Dr. Emory." I teased.

He sent me a death glare, which made me laugh.

"I hate the coffee here." He muttered.

"Well, bring your own." I said.

"I may, or just have someone bring it to me." He said.

"If they aren't busy." I said.

"Come on, help me wrap up so we can get out of here." He said.

We made sure everyone was fed and in the proper spots. I helped him organize his journals and lab notes.

"Okay, I should have everything from here, did you need to go home for something now?" Asa asked me.

"No, I already did all of my work." I told him.

"Okay, give me 4 minutes." He told me.

I sat down at the tables, where Mrs. Glasse was.

"What are you two talking about?" She said.

"Coffee and tonight plans." I told her.

"You two going out?" She said.

"He's giving me a ride, nothing you should worry about." I told her.

"You are very shallow." She told me.

"Why are you so bothered by me? I have done nothing to you. You are new to this school, even newer to this lab. I've been in this lab my entire summer, I'm familiar with everything in here. I've done practically everything in here. Yet you're mad at me over Asa Emory? You're the one that’s shallow here. Coming for a undergrad, because you're so hot in the pants for him. You don't even know that he's in a relationship with someone, before I even met him. You don't care though, you just pay attention to the fact that I understand him better than you. Or maybe that I understand what goes on in here better than you. Either way, you're grown ass woman, act like one. Get your priorities together." I stood up and grabbed my things.

Asa called my name, which made me turn around.

"I'll see you later, I need to go calm down." I told him.

He gave me a nod, but not understanding what just happened. He was in one of the enclosures therefore didn't hear a thing.

Mrs. Glasse face was red from me going off one her, but she didn't say anything.

I took my lab coat off and made my way home. I noticed my phone was on silent and Jesse has been messaging.

It was mostly him commentating what was going on, I suppose he saw me going off on Mrs. Glasse.

"You want me to come get you doll?" Jesse asked.

"I don't know, I'm just irritated, kind of want to be by myself." I told Jesse.

He had to send a text because I wouldn't be able to understand his signs.

"I had everything set up for you, will you join me tomorrow once you're finished with school. I can take you shopping for a dress. You're going to be my date for the ball. We'll your going to be our date." Jesse said.

"Let me guess, we're wearing black?" I looked back at him, and he nodded.

"Buy me some red bottoms." I grinned at him.

"Anything you want, doll." he smirked.

"Great, tell Asa I'm sorry for leaving him back in the lab." I told Jesse.

"I'm going to show him the footage when he gets here, he's on his way now." Jesse sent.

"Alright, I think I'm going to workout some, shower then sleep." I told Jesse.

"No eating?" He had a smirk on his face.

"Yes I'm going to eat, I ordered myself some Burger King. I'm lazy." I told him.

"I understand doll, I'll talk to you later." He told me before we got off video call.

My delivery came quick and I ate. I did exactly what I said I was going to do. I felt better now that I released that stress. I slept good that night.
