"Do you know how to get there?" I asked once he started the car.

"Yes, I've seen it before. It shouldn't be crowded, unless the football team is there." He muttered the last part.

We drove in a comfortable silence, but the drive was only about 10 minutes.

Once he parked, he hurried to get out and opened the door for me. I guess my face gave away my state of flustered confusion.

"You aren't used to anyone opening doors for you?" He raised an eyebrow.

"No, not really. Just when someone is already on their way out or in and holds it open for you." I explained.

"So your boyfriend don't hold open doors?" He opened the door to the restaurant.

"I don't have a boyfriend." I chuckled at the assumption.

"I would've assumed that, or that you aren't into men." He said as we waited for someone to seat us.

"Why is that?" I was curious now.

"Well, Terrance has been flirting with you the entire time of the internship. You never gave him the time of day. From what I've seen around campus, he is considered very attractive to a lot of the girls here." He said as we walked to a table.

"Well just because someone is attractive doesn't mean I'm attracted to them. Yes Terrance is attractive to a certain extent. Looks get old, especially when you're the player type like Terrance. It's like, what else are you good for besides to look at." I said looking over the menu.

"Well, what would've had to be different for you to accept his advances?" He sound like he was going to instruct an experiment.

"I don't know, I guess by starters not seeming so desperate. There is nothing wrong with trying befriend someone first before trying to 'date' them." I said.

"Why the quotations on date?" I saw a slight smirk on his face.

Very slight.

"Oh come on, I'm pretty sure you've done some research on which students you got for the internship. Terrance and all of his friends, including Joe, have a competition at the beginning of each semester. You know what that competition entails?" I raised an eyebrow, to which he raised one back at me.

"To see how many of the year ones they can sleep with in the first month, with "evidence". I don't know what the evidence is, but either way it's gross." Our waiter finally came over and took our orders.

I just got a regular double cheese burger with a side of waffle fries. Asa ordered an avocado bacon burger.

"I never tried avocado on a burger before, but then again, I've only had guacamole. I don't even like all guac either." I nodded to myself.

"It's not bad, but I felt like trying something different today." He said.

"Everything is different today." I chuckled again.

"Indeed it is." We got our drinks, and I got a tea, like always.

"You always have tea." He noticed.

"Yes, I love tea, and I'm trying not to drink soda so much. So I figured this was better, considering all the tea I drink don't have caffeine in it." I said.

"Is that what you're looking for, caffeine?" He asked.

"No, it's not. My favorite tea brand makes their tea without caffeine, but I never see the specific kind I like when I go shopping. If I go to Wal-Mart they'll have it, but not just any grocery store." I said.
