AKAHE "HAVE YOU SEEN MY SISTER?"

THE 2 AM FOOTAGE

Mom and I went straight into the police station to report the situation about my missing sister. They interviewed us and asks for a copy of my sister's picture. I gave them a copy of her picture and then they immediately prints it out in tons of copy. They gave us the half of it and the other half will be distributed and to be posted in the whole city.

I glazed upon the printed paper, seeing my sister's face. Why does her looks are giving me some sort of chills. Am I just nervous? Or scared of something? I don't know, I can't figure it out.

❝Ren, let's go. We will still search for your sister.❞ mom said.

Her words aren't sinking in to my mind. I'm staring at the blank space, losing myself for a second. It feels like I'm floating on the air for a while.

I went back to reality when mom holds into my right arm.
❝My daughter, are you alright?❞

I turn my eyes into my mother and I can see that she looks so worried.
I slightly smile at her and answers,
❝Y-yes mom, I'm fine. Maybe this is the effect of lacking too much sleep.❞

❝You can take a rest on the car. Let's go now.❞ she replied and walks into the police station's exit.

I silently follows her and after a few seconds of walking, we made it out and went into the car. I sat down at the front sit beside the driver's sit and then I glanced out to the window, looking up into the sky. It's still dark...
It'll be hard for us to find her in this kind of state. But... I shouldn't lose hope, I'll keep on going just to see her again.

Mom told me to take a nap but I told her that I can't. My thoughts are bothering me and it's keeping me wide awake. We then proceeds to search for my sister and the authority are also helping us, they're now conducting a search operation.
I'm getting nervous for real.

Time is passing by, it's already 5am in the morning. Me and mom are still going from place to place while asking every single passer by and strangers in the street.
Showing them the picture of my sister printed in a paper but none of them knows and even seen her.

We also put some missing signs of her into the walls and electrical posts.

The police contacted us and they told us that there's still no good update about my sister.

I'm starting to feel down, but I'm still hoping that one day she'll show up again…

❝Mom…what if she won't come back anymore? What if… she totally disappeared without any clue…❞

Mom sighed and looks at me with a worried face.
❝Your sister will come home again. Don't lose hope okay?❞
Mom said and taps my back gently, trying to comfort me.

I inhale and exhale as I tried to release the heaviness from my chest.
We're ok back then, now what's happening...

I look at the paper I'm holding on and smiled as I stares at her face.

❝I miss you already❞ I said like I was just whispering on the air.

I felt something unexplainable deep inside me every time I was looking at her face. What is this kind of feeling? I can't understand…

Hours passes by again, mom and I are still searching for her. It's almost after noon, the sun is shining so bright into us. We almost toured the whole city just to find my sister.
I admit, this is pretty tiring.
I don't know if this search will be worth it…

We're still trying to contact her but we can't still reach her out.
The worry in my heart starts to grow bigger and bigger.
Mom tried to make a plan out from her mind but she can't think well too.
