Maybe it's the adrenaline rush still rushing through your veins after taking exams for a whole week straight, but for some reason, courage courses through your veins as you actively look for a specific person's test paper everytime a teacher asks your class to check another section's tests.
Your friends had teased you endlessly as they, too, helped you look for Mr. Baji Keisuke's test papers in the pile.
After every checking, you had neatly written your name under the page, a cute little doodle under your name as you hoped that it would catch his attention.
Usually, you wouldn't even make the first move, but with the examinations finishing, along with the endless teasing that your friends made whenever you'd pass the glasses-wearing boy in the hallways, your tired brain has decided to give you some much needed courage to get this crush over with.
It's been a whole day of checking exams and finally, your science teacher decided to give all of you your checked test papers.
It took awhile for yours to be given but once you received it, you took your time to check over each item, making sure that the person who checked your paper got it all right and didn't accidentally wrong any of your answers.
But while checking the formula part of the exam, you noticed how they crossed out an item that costs 5 points. Obviously, a little irked at the mistake, you went to your teacher.
"Miss, I think this number got marked wrong but I'm pretty sure that I got the right answer." You told your teacher, handing your paper to her so that she can check it for herself. Your teacher nods, humming as she checks the rest of the paper as well.
"Okay, I'll just change your score here and then you should go to Class 1 and inform..." Flipping your paper, she scans the bottom part to look for the checker. "Mr. Baji Keisuke about the mistake." Your teacher chuckles a little as she hands the paper to you.
As for you, you can't help but feel a little nervous when you see your friends giving you a teasing look, wiggling their eyebrows while making faces. The rest of the class seems to catch on to what's happening and gives you a little tease as you start to head out of the room.
You don't have enough time to check why the teacher chuckled at you as you quickly make your way to class 1 which is only a few doors away from yours.
Taking a deep breath, you peek through the window by the door and almost feel your heart drop when your eyes instantly meet with bronze ones behind a pair of glasses. You offer a quick smile before ducking away from the window, not noticing the way Baji's eyes widened and heat spreads to his cheeks at the sight of you smiling at him. Kazutora notices the way his friend freezes up and when he tries to follow where Baji's looking, he only manages to catch a glance of someone's hair before it disappears.
"Hey, what're you looking at?"
Clearing his throat, Baji fixes his glasses and plays with his hair, trying to make it look as presentable as possible just in case he sees you through the window again. "Nothing... I just, I think I saw her."
