"Where are we going?" Her eyes were the only thing shining in the darkness. They were chrystals buried in dust. And I loved them. I loved everything that she was.

"Let's follow the night."

Adelia let me hold her hand sometimes, so I did. She let go after a few minutes, to let me know that she wasn't completely mine, and I could only cherish her chrystal eyes for a short time until she turned away.

Adelia started wearing dresses two days after we brought her back. They always had long sleeves, and a short hem line. Adelia liked her legs, and when she had a bruise, she would cover it with makeup, and wear the dress anyway. I kind of liked that about Adelia, that she would wear the dress anyway. It gave me a lot of hope that she could be just as fearless as the rest of us. When we first brought Adelia back, she was bold. She's not so bold anymore. I don't care if she's bold or not, as long as she is not afraid.

"I got you a gift, " I said.

"Really?"

It was a necklace. And it wasn't cheap. It was expensive. Just expensive enough to be worn around her golden soul. Adelia reminded me of gold, and chrystals, and anything worth something. Because Adelia was worth so much.

"Do you like it?"

"Yes," she smiled, "I promise."

And then Adelia did something that she had never done before. She kissed me. On the lips. It was quick, but it was long enough to make my heart crack in two. That was the only time I had ever felt warmth from Adelia. She was radiating heat. She was the warmest thing on the planet, and so was I.

"I believe you."
