Mia has become an Adelia substitute. So much so that last night, she gave something up.

Dean is this guy in her Biology class who doesn't like Biology, but does like her. He talks about automobiles a lot, and Mia said that's okay because he also talks about music sometimes. And as long as his music taste is better than his taste in automobiles, she'll like him too. And she did. And got dressed up for him. And wore a lovely dress and I couldn't believe I had a sister that pretty.

So Dean goes, "You coming?"

Atleast, I think that's what he said. I was in my room. But my hearing got good. It had to get good for Adelia. So that I could fetch her when she was out in the cold. It's funny that I don't see her anymore. Mia must have thought it was funny too because she stood in the doorway, in her lovely dress.

"Want to play cards?"

And I did. So we drank soda and played cards and Dean didn't get my sister that night. I got my sister. That was Sunday. This is Tuesday. Tuesday is very much different from Sunday because Dean isn't here and my sister is in sweatpants. She looks good in sweatpants too. I bet that's why Dean likes her. But I hope it isn't. I hope he likes her much more for the way the moonlight highlights her cheeks than the way tights highlight her thighs. But then again, I can't be sure.

Mia reminds me a lot of 'Delia. But she isn't her, you see, that's the problem.
