「3RD POV」
“I got the highest score!” Cheered the kid in a singsong manner as she was on her way back home. Tracing back the path in their neighbourhood, she jumped a bit—skipping steps as if she was dancing.
“I'm sure they will be proud. Mom, Dad, wait for me!” she whispered to herself.
Their house is just a walking distance from where she is, so it didn't take her long to finally arrive. The latter was expecting to see a smile on their face, but what she saw was something too much for a 10-year-old to behold.
“Mom! Dad! I scored the highest again—”
Immediately, the hopping child stopped on her tracks.
A pool of blood.
‘Mom and Dad,’ she called.
The kid was frozen at their doorstep as if the blood that was rushing through her veins turned cold. She wants to scream but no voice came out, only for a silent gasp to escape.
In a blink of an eye, she's now beside their bodies—the latter is trembling in fear, only hiccups and breaking sobs resonated in the distant corners of their house.
“You're home...”
On her left side, a young boy who exactly have the same features as her, emerged—silver hair, blank green pair of eyes—he looks foreign yet, there was a familiarity in him.
“I'm sorry you have to see this..” He trailed off.
“...It's hard to lift their bodies alone.”
“Can you...”
“...help me?” He continued after he weighed each word he dropped as if he was trying to balance it for her.

Staring at the two bulks of soil—where their bodies rested—the young boy felt relieved but the young girl felt lost. The latter stopped crying as if her tears dried out.
“We're finally free.”
The young boy turned at her who's still covered in blood, he then smiled genuinely at her before wrapping her in his embrace. The young girl didn't know how to react as she stood there motionlessly in his embrace—along with her evergreen peep that became darker and lifeless—the young girl feels odd—she feels nothing.
She felt empty.
