「3RD POV」

The clicking noise produced by the two pairs of school leather shoes' soles echoed around the empty hallway as it meets the polished marble floor. Young women in their navy blue school uniforms walk side by side half a metre apart as they talk discreetly.

“We just have to switch the contents with the shredded papers I prepared,” whispered the student with silver-white hair. The young woman beside her bobbed her above-the-shoulder grey hair as she nodded before responding, “noted. I'll send them to Eden—Deltise and Ken.”

As discussed beforehand, Kazuuri's intel had told them that it was supposed to be shredded to become fertilizers for the numerous plants on the castle's gardens, Eden, as few people call it.

It was the separate building in the middle of the castle—which was structured in a "u" shape—at first, it was just an arable land that became a maze-like spacious garden, but when one of the founders who was part of an organization overseas invented artificial sunlight and air conditioner for plants which helped them create artificial four seasons: spring, summer, autumn, and winter, they built in the middle a huge enclosed space using the special and rare materials; that's when mixed together, it can survive various natural disasters. It was as tremendous as a three storey building for something to be treated as a garden where they dedicated their time cultivating all sorts of plants, may it be edible or not.

Walking inside will give you an illusion as if you were lost in the jungle; the scenery looks too natural as the ingenious machines were perfectly camouflaged along the nature. You would not be able to determine where is the bare wall which were covered with vines and other crawling plants nor the roof as a realistic firmament and artificial clouds were projected above.

Although the genius inventors named it as AF2005 or Artificium 2000 model 05, it wasn't an exaggeration to call it as Eden.

It surely lives up to its name.

She gave her a quick side-glance as she mentioned the last word, expecting an agitated reaction from her. To her dismay, the young woman beside her did not even twitch her brows—she remained impassive as she strode her way off, emeralds looking straight at their destination.

“I don't care how you got those navy camo but, make sure you won't get caught, Miraia,” she warned. Miraia's sullen face started lighting up, she then chuckled before speaking, “Kazu, I won't—but if ever, I have a scapegoat prepared.”

As soon as she finished her words, clouds seems to cover her pretty face.

‘That bitch... It's annoying that she even believes that she make any sense! Ugh!’

She disregarded her train of thoughts when she noticed that Kazuuri started walking on a faster pace than her—leaving her behind. She became alerted when she heard the nearing footsteps behind her and started running.

***

Kazuuri stopped by the end of the stairs, then leaned her back onto the wall before tapping the hidden device on her wrist. Feeling her unstable heartbeat, she panted quietly, ‘as expected, walking exhausted me that much.’

She closed her emerald eyes and let the minutes pass by.
