You are a theoretical physicist and work alongside Sheldon, you are friends with his group and that's where you met penny. Since you saw her you immediately had a crush on her. You've been there to help with all her break ups, she's cried on your shoulder, you've been her friend for when she's been perusing her acting career and when she rants about her exes and her jobs. She's been in a relationship for a while and she's just went on a date with that guy. As it it Thursday it's Halo night and you're playing until you hear penny shout.
P- Ugh! I hate him!
She slams her door
U- im going to check on her
S- no no no it's halo night
U- sheldon she's my friend
H- and you are in love with with
U- Howard!
H- oh come on it's obvious
U- whatever boys
You leave Sheldons apartment and knock on Penny's
U- hey penny it's me can I come in
P- o-ok
You walk inside and you see penny crying
U- oh penny...
You sit on her couch and you hug her
P- I thought he was different, you know? He was kind, caring and smart... I-I mean like not your level smart I mean like normal level smart and he cheated on me! Am I not good enough? Am I just doomed to date and end up with assholes
U- penny you are 100% good enough, you're beautiful, amazing, smart, kind and so much more so don't ever say you're not good enough because you are ok? And you will find someone who cherish you and treat you like a princess like you're supposed to be treated. You deserve the world and you will find someone who will try everything and more to give that to you
P- you think I'm smart?
U- of course I do just because you don't have a PhD doesn't mean your not smart

Penny kisses you, you kiss back and penny straddles you to deepen the kiss, she slides her hand under your shirt

You get penny off of you
P- please y/n/n you won't be a rebound I promise you. I want to be with you
U- I'm sorry about your break up and what happened you deserve the world but I'm not going to be your rebound penny you say I won't be but your clearly drunk and I don't want to sleep together and you regret it in the morning
P- y/n I'm not drunk
U- penny look, your drunk, you will regret it if we do something tonight you might say you won't but you will, you say that you like me romantically you don't you just want a distraction from hurting from the breakup tonight. And most importantly you deserve the world more than the world, that man didn't give it to you, and I would kill myself trying to give that to you cause you deserve that and more because I'm in love with you and you will find someone better than me who will give that to you but I can't do this tonight and you say it is a mistake in the morning even though you disagree with everything I said

You stand up to leave, you get to the door and you feel penny grab your arm and pulls you in for a bruising kiss

You peck her lips one more time and open the door

You leave and you see Howard and the rest of the boys

H- what happened in there
L- yeh I saw penny with tears in her eyes when you opened the door
U- he cheated on her then she said she wants to sleep and be with me but I said she was drunk and wants a release over the pain of him cheating on her but she kept denying it so I said if she did feel the same tell me tomorrow and we will talk.
R- so you're telling us that you refused to sleep with penny because you didn't want to just have a hook up
U- yeh
H- you dumb dumb woman
U- thanks wolowitz anyway I'm going to go home now sheldon we have a lot of work tomorrow to do
S- yes we do Dr.Y/l/n
U- bye sheldon
S- bye y/n
You leave and penny comes out of her apartment
P- hey guys
H- hey do you still need someone to sleep with
P- no! So do you guys have ice cream
L- yeh I'll get it for you
Leonard goes to get the ice cream and gives it to penny
L- are you ok?
P- no I don't date women usually but when I met her something clicked and I fell in love with her over time but i didn't say anything but I didn't say anything
H- oh come on it was obvious she's in love with you and always has been
P- really?
L- yeh she's done everything to make sure you have been happy even though it's practically killed her seeing you with other men
P- oh... can you tell her tomorrow to come straight to my apartment cause I want to talk to her as soon as possible

Penny goes inside her apartment and falls asleep crying
The next day penny had the day off and stayed in bed, she didn't even realise the time as she was upset that you rejected her and worried that you won't show. She hears a knock on her door she opens it and sees you
U- hey penny
P- what are you doing here I thought we said after work
U- penny it is after work
P- wait what's the time
U- 5:15pm love
P- really?
U- yeh so can I come in
P- I'm not looking nice
U- you still look gorgeous whatever you wear and don't try and disagree cause it's true
P- come on in
You walk in to penny's apartment
U- so what's up
P- it's about us yesterday
U- yeh...I get it it was a mistake we can still be friends if that's what you want
P- I don't want to be friends with you
You feel your heart shatter
U- o-ok if that's what you want

Penny kisses you and you eventually kiss back and melt into the kiss then she pulls away
P- I don't want to be friends with you cause I want to be with you
U- you're not doing this as a dare are you?
P- no no! Of course not i like you a lot and have been for a while i dated all the guys cause I needed a distraction cause I never thought you would like me back
U- it's impossible not to like you you're perfect
P- I'm far from perfect
U- well for me your perfect...so what does this mean
P- well I hope to go on a date with you then maybe we can come back here and have some more fun

Penny kisses you
U- so when do you want to go out
P- how about Tomorrow at 7pm
U- sounds perfect, do you want to watch a movie

U- ok how bout the notebook, you've mentioned it's a good one so is that a good choice

You lay on her sofa with penny on top and watch the notebook and comfort her when she cried. Five years later you propose and get married
