"Phil, they are back," Techno said before standing up and shaking his coat to get rid of the snow on the back of it. Now he reached out his hand and helped Phil up. The sun had now almost completely disappeared behind the huge mountains.

The two jumped off the roof and greeted Ranboo and (Y/N) with a warm 'welcome back', as if they hadn't been worried at all. "So, where have you two been all day?" Phil asked while leading everyone inside his house to hand them some dinner.

"(Y/N)-" "We visited Eret," (Y/N) cut off the taller one, "I was about to leave this morning to look around when I saw Ranboo and invited him to join me. When we got to the SMP, we met Eret and then went to their castle to catch up.

That's also why I didn't see much more than the community house, part of the Prime Path and her castle." "Oh, that's nice. How is Eret doing?" Technoblade asked, somewhat suspicious of them, "I haven't seen him in quite a while."

"Oh, Eret is doing great, they were surprised to see me, but they are doing fine," (Y/N) answered. Phil now handed everyone some steak before sitting down at the small table he had sat up beforehand.

"That's nice," he said, "I'm glad that you two still get along." "Of course we do," (Y/N) said before starting to eat and ending the conversation. Suddenly something knocked at the door. Everyone looked up from their food and at each other.

'Are we expecting someone?' was the question everyone wanted to ask. Now (Y/N) stood up and walked up to the door. They opened it slowly, making sure the person out there wasn't a threat. And that person wasn't.

"Hello, (Y/N)," Sam greeted them as (Y/N) opened the door completely, revealing him to the others. Sam waved over to Techno, Phil, and Ranboo, before asking to be let inside.

"Sam, what are you doing here?" Phil asked while he stood up and walked around the table to face the warden. "I'm bringing (Y/N)'s injection," he explained and held up a dark gray bag. "Oh, I completely forgot about that," Phil laughed, "Should we go upstairs for that?"

"The two of us will do that. You can go sit down again - I didn't want to interrupt your dinner," Sam said and gestured (Y/N) to get up the ladder.

They followed his command as they were used to and sat down on their bed once they reached the first floor. Sam followed them and sat down next to (Y/N).

"So, how was your first day out?" He asked while preparing the syringe. "It was fine. All the 'new' stimuli were pretty calming... I completely forgot about you coming today, to be honest," they answered whilst preparing their arm for the shot.

"So you were outside today?" Sam asked as he filled the syringe with the translucent liquid from a small bottle that had been in the bag as well.

"Yep. Visited Eret's castle," (Y/N) answered and looked at the ceiling. Now Sam placed the needle in the right spot and injected the drug. "I brought a weaker dose today so we can see if you have any negative reactions to it.

And also, if you manage to keep yourself occupied and distracted, we will be able to lessen the injections to once every two days or even once a week sooner," Sam explained before he finished the injection and putting a band-aid on the spot, "Now go have some dinner and then get some rest. Have a nice evening."

"You too," they answered before Sam climbed down the ladder, said his goodbyes to Ranboo, Phil and Techno, and left. (Y/N) looked down the ladder and took a shaky breath before climbing down.

"Are you alright?" Phil asked as he cut out a piece of his steak and ate it. "Never been better," (Y/N) answered. "... Well, there have been one or two occasions I liked better than this, but considering the last few months, this is the best I have felt in a good while."

Now they sat down at the table and started eating again. As they did so, nobody paid too much attention to the half-enderman, who was nervously fiddling with his earring for no apparent reason.

A few hours later, everyone was lying in their beds and sleeping peacefully. Well, almost everyone. Ranboo was sitting in his bed, back against the wall and staring up at the ceiling while trying to distract himself in any way possible.

Purple and magenta particles started to gather around him after a while, something that has been happening rather often lately. He could hear them talking to him and asking what was wrong and if he was okay.

He didn't know where they had come from, but according to Philza, it was a normal enderman-thing.

He didn't really know what was wrong with him right now - he just felt awful, as if something inside of him had just snapped within the last hours that made him afraid of something.

But the problem was that he didn't know what this something was. According to what Phil and Techno had said to him about that,

once this sort of thing had become almost usual and Ranboo could describe the feeling better and differentiate between it and the 'normal' panic attacks he had been having before,

Techno experienced similar panic attacks and feelings of uneasiness as if one was about to get killed, in his youth, which was a side effect of his developing precognition. Apparently, this wasn't a rare thing in the world of hybrids.

He tried not to think about it any longer and just sleep, but his head just wouldn't stop worrying, and the thoughts wouldn't stop piercing through his skull, up to a point that he started getting a headache.

What was wrong? What in the world was going on with him? At some point, he swallowed the saliva that had gathered in his mouth because of all the silent sobbing and gasping he had done in this overwhelming panic and stood up.

The particles followed him and slightly lit up the area around him. He slipped into the red coat Techno had given him at some point in the past, which Ranboo had conveniently placed on his bedside table before going on a totem hunt.

He clutched the coat, walked through his house, and opened the iron door that lead him outside. The snow was falling quickly, and the wind was throwing his hair around and into his face.

With his left hand, he held onto the coat, and with his right, he blocked the snow and his hair from getting into his eyes. He didn't know where he was going he just knew that he had to get out of his house, even if he had to walk through this blizzard.

He eventually reached the fence surrounding the area Phil, Techno, (Y/N) and he were living in and walked through and opening of this fence without looking back for just a second. Where was he going, though? Ranboo had no idea and quite frankly did not care about that at all.

But someone else did.
