posh housewives & husbands, big shot CEOs, stars of the big screen... 1920s tinseltown. the glamorous parties and the camera bulbs flashing and fake smiles plastered on... the highest of the high in hollywood can only show their true selves to the people who get it: the other tycoons. Or can they? backstabbing! drama! rumours! romance! will you find yourself at a party? maybe a jazz club? the set of the latest motion picture? the world is your oyster, or at least it is until your 15 minutes of fame are up.

backstory: having started doing films as young as seven years old, and with ten oscars to her name, dorothy is one of the biggest and most beloved stars of hollywood. she's known for playing the femme fatale, the mysterious woman in red. but she has a secret in real life. she wasn't seven when she started acting. she was twelve. the public believes she is five years younger than she actually is, and now that time is catching up with her, she doesn't know if her career will survive.
personality: her managers have carefully cultivated her public image to match the roles she plays, so to the masses she is known as coy, seductive, glamorous. she's been at this act for so long that she barely even knows what her real personality is like anymore. she's a little bit of an alcoholic, but in a glam way. a perfect example of the jaded, apathetic, too famous star.
other: two younger brothers. she supports them and her mother and keeps them out of the public eye.

backstory: virginia is promised to teddy, the heir of paramount pictures. she has been since they were children. obviously, she doesn't love him. she's spent all of twenty minutes alone with him in the fifteen years she's known him, and almost every outing is surrounded by an army of chaperones and paparazzi. she's looking desperately for any way out, no matter what it is.
personality: appears sweet and demure in public, but as soon as the doors close between her and the cameras she is more than willing to speak her mind. she understands the importance of public image, especially in hollywood, but she also believes strongly in not letting herself be pushed around.

backstory: the only son of the head of the biggest picture company in hollywood, there are some expectations placed on him. he doesn't meet any of them. he is engaged to virginia, but shocker, he doesn't love her either! they've developed a kind of camraderie to help eachother out of their situation. teddy's father is also not the kindest man, and since his mother died, he's been angrier and angrier, so tommy is around the house less and less.
personality: the classic rakish rogue. think flynn rider but pg-13. he's got that crooked grin, the loosened tie, the thick wallet. a real ladies man, in more ways than one! though he may appear like an asshole, the man is a feminist! he's been funding the suffragette movement under the table with his father's money and virginia's help. at heart, he is gentle and caring and quick to smile.

backstory: he's hollywood new money. coming from a low class family, it was only chance that he was discovered and thrust into the limelight. he never really wanted this, but he was given the chance to provide for his family and he took it. he's known for singing sappy love songs and ballads. he had his heart broken very early into his career, and now he refuses to date, which just makes him that much more appealing to his audience of teen girls.
personality: a regular boy next door. mild and kind of shy, an approachable kind of handsome. he's not intimidating or forward, he's the kind of person to see that people are talking over you and make sure you get a chance to speak. very gentle. not quite a golden retriever, maybe a cavalier king charles spaniel!
