the prestigious boarding school university of camlann academy accepts only the most intelligent students, the most ruthless students, the students who want it most. and those who can't handle the pressure? well. nobody really knows what happens to them.
your friend is one of those, a student who succumbed to the pressure, and now nobody can find him. if that wasn't bad enough for you, you are fairly sure that one of your friends is the killer, and you are trapped in your boarding house together for the rest of the year.

name: aurelia farrow

reason for attending: three generations of farrows have been attending camlann. if she didn't go, she'd be considered a disappointment.
family: a very rich family. they've been "donating" to the academy for decades, and sometimes aurelia worries that that's the reason why she got in. her mother is distant and drinks too much and her father is always on business trips. camlann is more of a home to her than her actual home.
personality/backstory: aurelia is a real dark horse. she's always got a book in her hand and dark lipstick on her lips. she is very into the occult, and conducts seances every full moon. she plays it off as a teasing kind of thing, but everyone can see the real frustration in her eyes when the seances don't work. she's quiet, but always seems to have a little smile on her face. aurelia is also an excellent shoulder to cry on.
possible murder motives: james was running his mouth about her buying her way into camlann, and people were starting to believe it.

personality/backstory: very gentle and sweet. she's quick to smile and well known and liked throughout the student body. she isn't quick to anger, but if you provoke her for long enough... well. let's just say that her bite is way, way worse than her bark. this is her first year at camlann, despite being in the second year. she had to move schools because of an... incident that occurred between her and another student. the other student was in a cast for months.
possible murder motives: james was constantly prodding her about what happened at her last school. he was getting close to finding out.

reason for attending: he got an athletic scholarship for football, but then last year he was injured and couldn't play anymore. he decided to go into sports medicine.
family: just his mom. his father and sister died in a car accident when he was only 5, so he doesn't remember them very well.
personality/backstory: very outgoing and confident. definitely the driving force behind the group of friends, the glue keeping them all together. he's excellent at comforting people and very emotionally mature. he's been playing football since high school, and he has never lost a game. he was going to go pro after university, but then he broke his ankle and it never quite healed right. he was bitter and sullen for months after the accident. luckily, the school let him stay.
possible murder motives: he suspects that james was the reason for his injury.

family: very very rich people. an older brother & his mom & dad. the one person he was actually close to was his grandmother, who died last fall.
personality/backstory: kind of teasing and smug. not quite cocky, but he's got the kind of graceful air about him that makes you think that he should constantly have a martini in his hand, even though he doesn't drink. his room is a mess, always covered in half finished sculptures and way less than half finished homework. the only clear spot is his bed. juno is very cagey about his past. he doesn't like to talk about it. the only person he talked about was his grandma.
possible murder motives: james didn't come to his grandmother's funeral with the rest of you. he claimed he had better things to do. that night, they argued for hours.
