3rd Person POV

"Hey there!" Kaminari stated, seating himself beside Jay with a solid plop in his chair. She glanced to him, idly shaking her hands out before greeting him back.

"Hey."

"So, there's this cool mission thing we're allowed to sign up for. It's like real job experience and stuff," Kaminari immediately began, launching into his explanation. Jay placed an arm over her notebook, watching him with gentle eyes and a soft smile over her lips. Balancing her cheek against her fist and her elbow against the back of her chair, Jay sank into listening to Kaminari talk. Kaminari most often times talked a lot, as she had deducted. That was okay, it wasn't like he interrupted her all the time, but he often got so excited that he would just talk for ages. Jay didn't mind, she could be the same way sometimes, even if it wasn't around Kaminari. "It's real selective you know, so--"

"You want me to like, recommend you?" she asked. Kaminari stopped, cocking an eyebrow.

"No, it's actually a partner thing. I wanted to see if you wanted to work with me on it," Kaminari stated, grinning.

"Really?" Jay asked, pink flushing over her face. "How come you want to work with me?"

"I think we could totally get in," he said, leaning back in his chair. Kaminari was confident that Jay would be a keystone in getting in, considering they both had pretty cool quirks and since she was technically foreign the committee would be interested in getting her for the event--as foreign as American was. All Might sort of dulled that anyways.

"But...soap and electricity don't exactly...mix you know?" Jay proposed and Kaminari stared at her for a moment. They were both a tad clumsy, not so much her as Kaminari--which he knew and recognized.

"Sure, but I've been getting way better at controlling where my electricity goes and you improve all the time. You're the key to getting in, you know," Kaminari stated, leaning forward. Jay leaned back and up off her hand, to which Kaminari smirked ever so slightly. She shook her head, feeling her face get even hotter. He always had to do this, didn't he?

"Well, I--"

"Come on! It'd be so cool!" Kaminari insisted and Jay glanced up at him. He peered at her innocently and she chewed at her lip for a brief moment. He was always so convincing, to which Jay was slightly frustrated. How was she suppose to work with Kaminari when he made her so nervous. She had cultivated an entire friendship around her crush on him and avoided any trace of it coming up between them. Mina didn't even know and Jay was the most honest with her besides the friends she had outside of school. Jay just let out a breath, nodding in agreement.

"Yeah, of course."

"YES! You're the best," Kaminari said, slugging Jay on the arm and she smiled awkwardly. Jay felt sort of like a sucker right now, knowing that she was usually the one who would let everyone borrow notes or would watch after someone's stuff. Kaminari just grinned to himself and Jay shrugged it off, knowing it would be fun to work with Kaminari. She was just a nice person anyways. "How cool is this? All the ladies are so going to be into me if I get this awesome job!"

Jay's eyes flickered away for a moment, giving Kaminari a soft but judging look. He glanced to her and felt his stomach drop slightly. He just chuckled and shrugged it off.
