Chapter 2

After three years of living and working there. We moved on to working as security riders for the stagecoach. We were stationed a sweet little town called Sweetwater. Our first day there, I was helping some customers with their luggage; when I felt someone looking at me. I looked up and saw the most handsome man I had ever seen. Our eyes met and I blushed a little. He smiled at me and I smiled back before returning to my work. I felt all kinds of butterflies in my stomach. I hoped to get to one day meet that young man. And today was the day, the sheriff took us to the pony express station and the young man I had seen in town was there. We were introduced by the sheriff and we hitted it off very well. His name was James Butler Hickok, but everyone calls him Jimmy. Needless to say I already had strong feelings for him, by the end of that first night. Months following we would see alot of each other and not just at work. I often saw him at Church, around town, and at dances. Then after awhile we exited the awkward talking stage and He asked me to be his girl. His girl! Can you believe it?! He loves me and wants me to be his girl! Of course I said yes! I am completely in love with him and he with me. I had never felt this way before, and was all new to me. However I was ready, My heart was ready. I have never been so happy as I am now with Jimmy!
