Chapter 26

Anastasia's pov:

We walk to class and I sit next to y new partner, Skyler.

I can't just go back to my old life, might as well enjoy this one.

I want to talk to Skyler but I don't know how to.

There's 5 minutes of silence.

And then she talks, "How are your parents?" She asks me.

I'm so scared not of her but the way I'm going to answer her.

"Um... they're fine. How are you?" I ask her and she looks at me mysteriously.

"How do you know Mason?" She asks me. She is straight down to business I see, does she have a crush on him too?

"Um... I don't really." I lie, she doesn't have to know, for all I know she can be against me.

"Then why does he come to your house every night." She askes me, how the fuck does she know?

"Have you been spying on me?" I ask her. "You'd wish. Your not that special." She says sarcastically and smirks.

Great every partner I get hate me.

After class she says to me,"look I'm just saying is be safe, don't trust him." She says.

"Right now, I trust him more than you because...." before I complete she says,"Why cause he says sweet things to you and I don't, is that what you want you hear, Martinez?" She says this a little louder that her murmuring.

"No, because all you've done is be mean to me." I say and walk out of the class with Nina. I find Brett in the hallway, and I rush to him and say,"I think I know who my secret bodyguard is." And he looks at me and says the same thing.

I tell him first that mine is Skyler and he says,"Oh why didn't we think so before? Dad trusts her alot, besides at first when she used to stare at you I thought she had a crush on you, but now I know."

"What do you mean stare?" I ask him. "You know how people who like you stare at you,you're probably used to it. Anyways you know who's mine?" He says hoping I'll guess.

"I don't just get over it." I say irritated with him keeping this a mystery. "It's Ruel, like Nina's ex Ruel." I ask him how he knows.

"I mean Ruel and I have been secretly dating, we make out in school and stuff, you know I really like him, I think I'm bisexual Ana." I was in shock.

"I'm so proud of you, Brett." That's all I say.

"Yeah I wasn't sure, so I didn't tell at home, I'm not ready for them to know. Please don't tell anyone, I'm still figuring it out." He begs me and I nod.

"So, how'd you know he's your bodyguard?" I ask him.

"Because he wants to be around me all the time and I saw him carry a gun." He says,"Maybe he just likes you alot." I say and he smiles at me.

I got my locker after hugging him, Ruel was cheating on Nina with Brett and Skyler is my bodyguard. Sheesh.

I open my locker, and there are sunflowers in it, I love sunflowers. And there was a note attached to it.

The note read, Be ready at 9.30 pm, I'm going to take you to my favorite place. Love, Mason.

Aww, he said love.

I blushed to the fact that I'd be going on a secret date with Mason.

And I saw him looking at me with the same smile.

I turned to walk out, and I saw Skyler, trying to figure out what the fuck is going on between us.
