Having been up since 4:00am I'm actually not that tired considering.i feel Hadley and Jaiden gently stir next to me so I take that as my cue to go and make breakfast. After about 5 minutes of flipping pancakes and sizzling bacon breakfast is finally ready.
Conveniently the pancakes and bacon were ready just as the boys walked in with their duvets wrapped around their shoulder.
"Guys seriously, what are you doing?"
I chuckle, putting all the food onto a plate.
"Dad it's called tiredness, you probably haven't heard of it seeing as your teenage years were so long ago."
Jaiden mumbles, sitting down at the table and promptly putting his head on the table.
"Ouch!"
That actually hurt my feelings. I set down all of our plates and we start crunching our bacon and munching our pancakes.
"Dad?"
"Yeah Had?"
"Are we gonna be staying here now seeing as Mom is in hospital?"
"I guess so guys but I'm not making any promises, your Mom could be fine is a couple of days."
Loads groans and comments of complaints escape Hadley and Jaiden's mouth.
"What, don't you guys like being with your Mom?"
Perhaps they're complaining about her and her new 'boyfriend.'
"It's just that Mom treats us like toddlers and never has time for us cause she has her new boyfriend but with you Dad it's like we're just a boys only family if you get what I'm saying. You treat us right and you like spending time."
Jaiden says on behalf of him and Hadley because Hadley seems to have fallen asleep on his pancakes.
"Guys that means a lot but you know we are gonna have to see your Mom at some point."
"We know."
They mutter.
"But on the bright side today we can do something together today but there is one tiny drawback."
"Uh what is it Dad?"
"Well I was kinda gonna have lunch with Sierra today and it would be rude to cancel so I thought we could do something together."
"Oh yeah that's fine we like Sierra."
Wait so they're fine with spending time with Sierra but not with their own mother. She must of been really getting on their nerves.
"So you're willing to spend time with Sierra but not with your Mom."
"Sierra's fun, Mom's not!"
Jaiden says bluntly.
The boys go off to change so I take the time to call Sierra to see if she's alright with it all.
"Hey Sie!"
I say when she picks up.
"Hey Ram, you still okay for today?"
"Well kinda."
"What does kinda mean?"
She questions.
"Well would you mind if we had two more people join us?"
"Nope not at all."
"And just gonna tell you to bring your swimsuit cause we're going to a water park."
"Sounds fun, are you still picking me up?"
"Sure, I'll see you then."
"Okay bye!"
She hangs up.
Deciding to get ready for the day, I jump in the shower and change into fresh clothes with my trunks underneath. I get wanting to look nice but brushing my teeth 14 times is a bit over the top. Why do I want to impress Sierra so much all of a sudden. She's just a friend.
I shout to the boys to pack their swimming stuff and within 5 minutes we are all in the car heading off to Sierra's. It's going to be really exciting for the boys to be back in America so I thought what other place to take them then to a water park. They're seriously gonna love it! I hope Sierra does too.
