Chapter 1 :- The Bunny Man

The TV was playing in the background while the news was running

'Recently some people started getting missing

At first, police were assuming it to be a case of human trafficking but it soon was proved wrong when some local farmers from Busan located a dead body near their corp field

When police reached there to investigate, a lot more was revealed but left us with more questions

The victim is a male in his 40s. His name is still unknown. The face of the victim is totally destroyed so it's hard to identify the person

He was killed brutally without having any mercy. Fresh cut marks were visible.The victim was attacked on his leg as there were fresh cuts and some burn marks. Some of the victims fingers were missing too. For now, the body is sent for post mortem

The police asked the ones some questions about the scene who reported the body

The people who reported about the body were two middle-aged women

According to them, they were coming from their corp field when they noticed a tall man dragging this body to where it is now

They also claimed the man who they assume is the killer was wearing a black suit and a bunny costume head. He was holding an ax too

The police are assuming, that is what the killer used, to make those cuts on the victim's body

When they were asked if they can describe how tall the killer can be, one of them replied she isn't sure but to her, he is around 1.66 to 1.79m tall

The police are still investigating this case but according to the locals, it's a case of serial killing

After listening to all these details of the killer it reminded me of an urban legend THE BUNNY MAN

The Bunny Man is an urban legend that originated from two incidents in 1970. But it has been spread throughout the Washington D.C, and Maryland areas. The legend has many variations; most involving a man wearing a rabbit costume who attacks people with an ax or hatchet

And if we've got the right information then this killer also uses an ax as his weapon. Although he doesn't wear a bunny costume but still he does wear a bunny head of a costume

So, is The bunny man is back? Is he now here in Seoul, searching for his next victim? What's his purpose? Why is he disappearing these people? What he'll get by doing all this?'

The Tv turned off as Y/n turned around to see her mother holding the remote. Means she turned it off

"Y/n, don't believe such news. There's no such thing as bunny man. It's just your typical serial killer

You do know news reporters like to make up stories to get people's attention. I mean, how can a character from an urban legend can come back? It's impossible when it's been years" Y/n's mother stated angrily

Y/n chuckled a little and replied "Don't worry mom. I know they're making up stories for publicity. It isn't a new thing to see news reporters speaking nonsense, so I understand" She smiled

"It's good to have an understanding child after all" She said as she smiled "But as the killer is still roaming around freely you can't go outside alone & without our permission. Also from now on Mr.Lee will drive you to school, get it?" Her mother asked

"Yeah, I got it. Are you & dad will go to the police station today?" Y/n asked as she picked up her school bag

"Yes, we still have a lot to do & now this 'Bunny Man!' " She replied annoyedly

She chuckled at her mother's cute behavior & said "Okay mom, I'll get going then" Y/n said as she turned around to leave

"Okay, go fast or you'll get late and also don't go anywhere other than school! Mr. Lee will go to pick you up so don't come home on your own!" Her mother shouted

"Don't worry mom I won't! At least I have this much sense!" She shouting back as she chuckled after finishing her sentence

Y/n came out as she went towards their car as Mr. Lee drive her to school. When they reached there she got out of the car and went inside the school building

After entering in class, she sat on her usual seat as her friend approached her saying-

"Y/n! Did you watch the news?!" She asked curiously

"Rosé...How come you only watch the latest news which are on trending? Do even watch the news when there's nothing on trending?" Y/n asked as she raised her eyebrows while crossing her arms

"Hey! What do you mean by that?! I do watch the news sometimes even when it's not on trending!" She said crossing her arms cutely "You just say if you've watched the news or not"

Y/n chuckled and replied "Okay sorry, I was just joking. Don't take it seriously"

"Too bad, I already took it seriously" Rosé said, still kinda angry not looking at her

"Please don't be angry? I'll buy you hot chocolate!"

"Really?" Rosé asked curiously as she looked at Y/n

Y/n nod and said "Also, yeah I watched the news"

"Knew it, you watch the news every day. I mean what we can expect from someone whose parents are police officers? Anyway, what do you think about the Bunny Man thing? Is it true?" Rosé again asked curiously

"First of all don't believe in the Bunny Man thingy. It isn't even true. It's a serial killer and 2nd of all, how can a person of a legend from years ago will come back? News reporters are talking about this for more watch time and publicity"

"I know right?

I was like- yeah, the bunny man was sitting while chilling and suddenly it clicked on his mind that he hasn't killed anyone since 1970. Then he went like 'Dang it man! Imma kill more people now cause it's been years!'

I mean it's so weird" She said in disbelief "The killer might have worn the costume head to keep his identity secret. Not like he wants people to see his face so that he can get caught, right?

Also, it's not like the killer will always wear that thing. Maybe next time he'll come to attack wearing something else" She said as she shrugged

"You know what? That's why I like you. You're absolutely right. My parents also think this way and now they're stressed about this bunny man case" Y/n said as she sighed

Rosé gently held Y/n's shoulder and said "Don't worry much. This case will end soon" She said as she smiled

"Yeah, I hope so" Y/n replied as she smiled too

Soon the class teacher came as the class started & Y/n thought for the last time

But really...what he'll get by doing all this?
