The Best and the Pest

Chapter 1

"What?! Why do I have to be the one who needs to work with HIM?!?!?", could the deep voice of the leader of the Abomination Coven be heard. Next to him a laugh came from the leader of the Beast keeping Coven. "Stop laughing !!", Darius growled at his partner, who just kept giggling. In front of them was a Coven Scout who had just brought them the news. Darius sighed heavily and annoyed. "It can't be ...! He needs to be so dirty because of another job!", sighed the drama king further. Eberwolf held back delighted tones, watched his team colleague as he left the room with shaking hands to look for the Golden Guard.

Steve had brought them a message from Emperor Belos that said that Darius should do an important job together with Golden Guard on his side. Eberwolf had since then started to make fun of his friend. Now he just looked after Darius and stayed back in the room, not interested in accompanying him on his search.

Darius walked down the brightly lit corridors of the building, searching the area for the golden boy. "Ah! Where is this pest when you need him!?" "Are you looking for me ~ ?", a voice that sounded almost amused came from behind him. Darius pulled himself together not to grumble at him, after all, this boy was the right hand of Emperor Belos. "Yes .. there you are Golden Guard.", he said and put on a smile. Golden Guard nodded. "Yeah~, we're supposed to go on a special mission. You will see what exactly it's about on the way.", He said before he left. Darius rolled his eyes behind him and followed the much smaller one.

Oh how much he hated him! He just got on his nerves everytime Darius saw him! Not because he got so much attention from Belos, but simply because of his nature.

It was always enough for him to go on missions with Eberwolf, even if he had got used to the leader of the Beast keeping Coven and they got along well. But it bothered him to move around with the golden boy, especially because he still didn't know what this mission was about. However, there wasn't really anything he could do about it other than follow him and try to pull himself together.

He only thought of Eberwolf who, in contrast to himself, had his peace now, probably even for a whole day without seeing the golden boy anywhere. For this he was allowed to deal with him himself. Oh titan, he was already looking forward to it...
Of course he did....
