Surprise!  Okay, I know I said in my announcement that I had two chapters left and I was going to post them at the same time, but something was missing while I was writing the finale.  I wrote this short chapter to develop some things for Reyna and Thalia's characters and even Artemis’s character.  I also wanted to introduce you to some more Hunters of Artemis lore concepts I wanted to explore.  This chapter doesn't have too much to do with the main plot, but it is super fluffy with a lot of feels and I might have fangirled a little bit while writing it.  Fair warning.  Enjoy and keep writing

 Reyna’s POV

It was hard to say goodbye.

“Don’t worry!”  Hylla had told her.  “Once you figure out what happened at the California outpost, Reya and I will be moving there.  It’s right by Camp Jupiter, so you can visit us whenever you like, or I could even visit you for once.”

Reyna frowned, would she be able to visit Hylla and her baby niece as often as she could if she still lived at camp Jupiter?  She was a hunter, but would she be one for long?  Her strength was leaving her.

Hylla seemed to sense her worry.  She put her hands on Reyna's shoulders.

"I love you, little sister." Hylla gave her hug.  "We'll see each other soon.  Remember to be careful, and I have Thalia watching you if you're not."  Hylla crossed her arms at her.

"What?"  Reyna said.  "Are you two ganging up on me?"

"No, of course we're not-"  Thalia started.

"Yes, yes we are."  Hylla smirked.

Thalia saved Reyna from her sister and grasped her arm.

"Thanks for letting us stay, Queen Hylla.  And don't worry, Reyna won't die on my watch!  See you laters!"

"Die?"  Reyna said as Thalia dragged her toward the coast.  "Who said anything about dying?  I am a roman, and a roman does not wait for death.  She seeks it out, and meets it on her own terms-"

"Whatever you say, RARA."  Thalia laughed.  "Do you always talk like that?"

"Like what?"

"Nevermind."

Artemis and Zoe led the front of the group through the portal tree.  The two of them worked together quickly and without even speaking, as if it was the most natural thing in the world.

Thalia looked down with a troubled look on her face.

"Thalia, you're a great lieutenant."  Reyna put a hand on her shoulder.  "Artemis knows that, and the girls know that.  Just because Zoe's home now, doesn't mean you're being replaced."

Thalia looked up and smiled at her.  "Thanks, Rey.  How do you always know what to say?"

Even though Reyna reassured her, Thalia still seemed troubled about something.  Reyna hoped she wasn't worrying about her strength problem.

On the other side of the portal, the huntresses were back in California.  They came out of a familiar looking apple tree.

This was the first portal I went through.  Reyna thought to herself.  How much had she gone through since then?  The Pegasi herd that had surrounded the tree last time were no longer grazing in the field.
