When I woke up this morning, I was pressed against Bucky's naked body, our legs intertwined in a way that looked like a headphone cord after being in your pocket for a minute, you all know what I mean. I pulled my legs away from him slowly, trying to sneak out by pretending to just roll away from him. I was basically doing a reverse Ross Roll on him. I may not have a television, but mom and I watched F.R.I.E.N.D.S a lot when I was younger.

Once I was free, I moved the pillow to where I was laying which he snuggled right into. That made me smile at him. He was so sweet to me and he was so adorable, like a teddy bear. Looks intimidating but in reality he was a cuddler.

I looked around, going to his closet and grabbing one of his shirts before pulling it on. Thankfully he was bigger than me so it reached my mid thighs. I walked over and stole a pair of joggers from his dresser. My thoughts instantly went to if he would find out I was in his pants with no underwear. I smirked at the thought of him putting his hand in my pants.

I sighed and shook my head, ridding those thoughts from my mind. Quietly, I left the room, closing the door behind me carefully.

"Hey!" I jumped as Steve was standing there, coming out of his room apparently. I blushed, god I hope he didn't hear us.

"What are you doing up? Isn't it like five in the morning?" I questioned. Steve nodded with a smile as we walked to the elevator.

"Yeah, I usually go running in the morning. I'd ask if you'd like to join me, but I'm guessing you wouldn't in that." He made a pointed look at what I was wearing, adverting his eyes away from my bare legs. I laughed.

"Probably not a good idea." With that we fell silent, as the elevator dinged onto each floor.

"Are you excited for the ball that Stark is throwing?" He asked, breaking the awkward silence. I smiled at him sweetly.

"Steve, you don't have to be nice to me. I know Bucky is your best friend, but you don't have to make small talk with me." He looked at me shocked and confused. His eyebrows furrowed together.

"But I want to?" He questioned.

"Do you do that with every girl Bucky has slept with?" I questioned. Steve sighed, shaking his head.

"Bucky hasn't slept with anyone other than you since-" He paused in thought, "Well sometime in the 1940s." I looked at Steve in shock.

"Wait...What?" I was so confused. Steve started to scratch the back of his head as I turned towards him. "Are you serious? I'm his first in that long?!"

"It's not that big of a deal.. Is it?" He asked as the elevator opened on the main floor where the kitchen was.

I sighed. "Not really. It's just.." I paused as I sat at a stool at the island. Steve came around and poured us both a glass of orange juice and then sitting next to me. "I don't know. Why me?" I asked with a slight laugh at the end.

"He likes you?" Steve responded with his own question.

"But- What kind of girls did he like back then? Did he have a girlfriend? Oh god- Was he married?" I felt like a teenager freaking out over some crush. But Bucky is the one wanting to take me out and be more than just sleeping friends. I don't even really know him.

"He was more of a date around kind of guy. Never settled down. He even flirted with the girl I was into." Steve mentioned with a chuckle. I looked at him.

"I'm so sorry-" Steve shook his head at me.

"No, it's okay. Peggy was the first girl that actually showed any kind of interest in me. She was beautiful." He said as he took a sip of the orange juice. He had a dreamy look in his eyes. I smiled at him sadly.

"When did she pass?" I asked, carefully.

"A few years ago. I had the option to go back to her... But I couldn't leave Bucky alone. I lost him back then and now I have my best friend- My brother. I couldn't leave him again." He explained. "Then again, I didn't know he'd meet you." I smiled at him.

"Maybe you'll get a second chance?"

"No, that was my second chance." He patted my shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm happy. Natasha has me dating. I kind of turned into the old Bucky and he changed into the old me." He laughed, I joined in.

"So do you think he would have been into me back then?"

"Oh yeah, definitely. You have this independence about you. You're strong and care about others. He was a big hero back then, joined the army to save lives the best way he could. But then Hydra happened." His voice went down into a softer tone, like he was reminiscing. "He was very closed off when we found him. But you, he's changed back to the old Bucky just about since meeting you." I sighed. "What's wrong?" His brows were furrowed.

"I don't know what to do. I mean-" I put the glass down and ran my finger around the rim of it in thought. "Bucky wants to take me out, hell he got Tony to throw a ball for a date. But my life is a mess. Hydra is after me. I just found out they were behind the death of my mother. And now with having my dad back in my life..." Steve placed his hand on my shoulder.

"Your dad is trying. I know he wasn't there for you when you needed him- but he is wanting to try. That's more than most fathers. Tony's dad was just there for his work mostly. So- I don't know. Your dad is trying." He explained. I cringed at the mention of Tony's dad. Howard. He was terrible. My grandpa always told me about how much of an ass he was to his own family. "And Hydra is after Bucky still too. He was their best weapon you know."

"So what- you think Bucky and I will be okay?" I asked, raising my eyebrow at him. Steve laughed.

"Probably not." I scoffed at his words. "But it'd harder to take someone when they have a family to back them up." He added. I looked up at him at the word family.

"Family?" I questioned. Steve smiled at me.

"Yeah. We're all one big family here. We might not always get along, but we take care of each other." I smiled back at him.

"Thanks Steve." I told him sincerely. He grinned and stood up.

"I should go on my run before the others start to get up."

"Yeah, I should go back up to bed. Bucky might wake up soon." I said, standing up as well. Steve took our glasses and placed them in the sink before walking over to me and hugging me. It shocked me. Kind of felt weird. But at the same time, comforting.

"Take care of him, okay?" He asked. I smiled and nodded.

"Of course. Have fun Steve." I told him with a smile, heading back to the elevator as Steve headed out with a wave.

Getting back to Bucky's room, the door opened before I could open it. Bucky stood there, his hair a mess and his eyes looked a bit scared. He sighed when he saw me, grabbing me and hugging me to his hard chest tightly.

"I thought you ran." He mumbled into my hair.

"No more running." I whispered back as he pulled back to stare down at me. "Promise." I added with a smile. Bucky grinned at me and leaned down, kissing me softly as he closed the door behind us.
