Four rounds. That's how many rounds it took for Bucky to deem me distracted. Now we were laying here, his leg between my legs as we both lay on our sides, facing each other. His fingers were playing with a strand of my long hair.
"What now?" I asked, almost afraid of what he was going to say. He snapped his gray eyes to look at my brown eyes.
"What do you mean?" He asked, confused. He looked like I had snapped him from his thoughts.
"What do we do now? I'm so confused now. With my father appearing out of no where and then us- what even are we? Bang-buddies?" He chuckled at the name I used for us.
"I was actually trying to think of a way to ask you-" He adjusted himself to face me better. "Let me take you out." He stated. I blinked a few times, confused.
"Take me out?" I questioned. "Like a date?" I tried to clarify.
"Yeah. A date. I want to get to know the girl that's on my mind." He smiled at me, but dropped it when I didn't respond immediately.
"You don't even remember how we met." I reminded him, sounding a bit rude by mistake. "Ho- I've only been on your mind because you don't remember me. Steve told you about me." I told him. He frowned at me.
"Then make me remember. You can do that, can't you?" He questioned. Could I? He grabbed my hand. "Show me. Maybe we could have a Twilight moment." He laughed, but straightened up when I didn't laugh, my eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "You haven't seen Twilight? I'm the one that's supposed to be behind on movies and shows, not you." He chuckled.
"How do you know what Twilight even is?" I asked with a small smile.
"Peter Parker made Steve and I watch the most liked movie series. Star Wars, Harry Potter, Twilight. He's working Steve into Disney now. I took a small break. The kid can be a bit extreme at first. Nearly 20hrs of just Harry Potter killed me." I laughed at him, shaking my head.
"That is a long time to watch a series." I agreed. "But, I don't really watch tv. No television." I admitted. He looked shocked.
"Why not? No entertainment?"
"I think you forgot who my sisters are. They are plenty of entertainment." I told him with a sigh. "So what is this Twilight moment you want to share?" I sat up and turned to him as he sat up also, showing some excitement.
"Well at the end of the series, Bella, the main character, shows Edward, the love interest, her memory's with her thoughts from the moment they met to the present." He watched my face turn even more confused. "He can read minds, but not hers cause she's special." He clarified. I nod my head slowly.
"And you like this movie series? Seems like you're more of a softy than I thought." I laughed, he scoffed at me.
"I'm not soft. There's fighting, lots of blood and stuff." He tried to make it sound better for him. "You know, action and gore." I laughed at him some more.
"Okay, whatever you say you big marshmallow." I told him, shoving him lightly. He pouted at me.
"Don't call me that." He pouted.
"Alright." I grab his hands. "You want a Twilight moment? Let's do this." I closed my eyes as he did and cleared my mind, bringing the memories forward from or first meeting.
The moment I saw him and Steve at the bar. How I tried to hide from him and his friend since I was being looked for by the Avengers. When he approached me and Ginny and I tore Steve a new one by embarrassing him. I heard a chuckle in front of me. Bucky was laughing at his friend being embarrassed again. It jumped to when I was dancing with my sisters, making eye contact with Bucky the whole time. I watched as it flashed to being outside, Bucky joining me for a smoke. I cut the memory off before I wiped his memory. I didn't know if it would work in my mind. But I knew I didn't want to test it on him.
I opened my eyes to see Bucky staring at me already. A huge smile on his face. You know one of those grins that make the eyes twinkle a little? Yeah. His steel-gray eyes were twinkling with joy.
"That was so much better than Twilight. You thought about Steve's muscles a lot." He poked my side. I laughed. "Did you have a thing for Stevie?" He continued to poke at me.
"N-no!" I laughed. "His shirts always look too small for him. Does he shop for his old size pre-serum?" Bucky laughed with me.
"You're right. It does seem like that." He agreed. He grabbed my hand again. "So..." I looked at him, waiting for him to finish. "Would you go on a date with me, Ella?" I stared into his grey-steel eyes and smiled.
"As long as I'm back by midnight." I winked. He busted out laughing.
"Should I arrange a carriage?" He asked as a joke. But his face went dead serious. "Wait." He grinned at me. "I have the best idea!" He announced and leaned in kissing my lips softly as he jumped up, dressing.
"Wait! Where are you going?!" I asked, jumping up with him and grabbing my clothes.
"Gotta go talk to Stark. Get his help on some things. Go get Natasha to take you shopping. You need a dress. Think Cinderella." He told me as he leaned over and kissed my cheek.
"Wait-" I tried but he had already ran out of the room, the door closing behind him. "What the hell am I supposed to wear? A ballgrown?" I sighed at my question as I opened my door only to see Natasha and the Scarlett Witch.
"Hi! I'm Wanda, I overheard Bucky's thoughts when he ran by. Nat is supposed to take you shopping, can I go?" She asked with a huge smile. I went to respond but paused as we heard someone fall over. Looking down the hallway, I saw Peter getting up and running up to my door.
"He-hey! I want to go too, please?! There's this new comic store at the mall, I swear I'll be quiet!!"
"Uh- I guess." I answered. He cheered and Wanda grinned more.
"Awesome!!" Peter exclaimed.
"You ready now?" Natasha asked. I shrugged.
"I guess so." I turned and closed the door, following them to the elevator. This was going to be an interesting shopping day with the girls....and Peter.
