Hush now, quiet now,
Don’t say a word,
March on little soldier,
Though your voice is never heard.
Hide your hurt feelings,
Keep moving on.
Keep going little soldier,
And sing your battle song.
Conceal your emotions,
Pretend you’re all right.
Just go, little soldier,
Cry your tears secretly tonight.
Fall into despair,
And want it to end,
Don’t give up, little soldier!
In time your heart will mend.
Give it your all,
But you never succeed.
Chin up little soldier,
You can attend your own needs.
Never a smile,
Always numb.
You’re invincible, little soldier,
You’re a strong one.
The need to feel,
Sanity is gone.
If you give up, little soldier,
The devil has won!
Death is enticing,
But don’t end your life,
Don’t give in little soldier,
Forget the strife.
A discovery is made,
The secret’s out.
Accept healing little soldier,
Your soul is worn out.
They all ask why,
They need to know.
Tell them, little soldier,
Let your tears flow.
Healing comes gradually
And battle scars fade.
Don’t worry little soldier,
You’ll lose the scars you made.
The battle’s over,
Safe at last!
You made it, little soldier,
Your greatest trial is in the past.
But the war’s not finished,
It has only just begun,
Don’t fear, little soldier
You’re not the only one.
