 *Diiiiiiing-a-liiiiiiing*

"Come on, Achi! You have to come with us." Jenny said as she continuously tugs my white polo shirt. It's already November, soon it will be our finals for the first term yet all she can think about is this concert that Chad invited her to. I wouldn't mind her going honestly, but does she really have to invite me to go with them?

"Why do I even have to go? Isn't it better if it was just the two of you?"

"It would. But you have to come!"

"Why do you want me to go so badly anyway?"

"Because!" I can see that she really wants to convince me.

"Because...we haven't been spending time together. You keep on going somewhere and you won't even tell me." She said while pouting. Ugh! She is just too adorable!

"I...don't have a ticket." Please buy my excuse.

"We already have one for you. Don't worry." She gave me her most favorable and most pleasing smile. I shrugged, knowing that I had no escape.

"Alright, alright! I'll come..."

"Yay!" She even jumped and hugged me after hearing my response.

"But...only if I can bring a plus one." She looked at me curiously with one eyebrow raised, but she eventually agreed.

On the day of the event itself, I wore a red checkered polo with a semi white and black hoodie jacket that mixed well with my plain slim black jeans. I don't normally go to concerts, but I think I kind of look good?

It's already 5:30PM, the concert starts at eight. Just when I was about to call Jenny, she suddenly called me first. I was surprised. Normally, she wouldn't even think to call me unless it's something about her academics or Chad. Of course I answered on the third ring of my phone, I wouldn't want to keep her waiting.

"Hey, Achi!" Jenny said while sounding so enthusiastic.

"He-- *cough**cough*" I choked. The moment I started to speak, I immediately choked. How lame am I?!

"Hey, Achi are you okay?!" She sounded so worried.

"Y-yeah. *cough**cough* Don't worry. I just choked on water, that's all." More like I choked on myself, ugh!

"A-anyway, why'd you call?" I asked, obviously trying to desperately change the subject.

"Oh, Chad said that he'll be arriving soon. Are you ready?" She's inviting me to get in the car with them, isn't she?

"I-I think I'll just go there with my plus one. You guys can go ahead without me." She fell silent. Not knowing what to do, I just told her that it really is fine with me.

"...Okay. Don't be too late."

*tuuut**tuuut**tuuut*

She hung up on me. That's reasonable I suppose. I honestly have been avoiding her a bit lately. Not that I don't want to be with her, it's just that I know she'd probably bring Chad as well and I cannot stand to be with them. Even looking at them happily engaging in their romance is already enough for me to cry my heart out. Now they even want me to join them and be a third wheel? No, thanks guys. But...I do miss her. That's probably the only reason why I agreed to this situation. God! I hope this is not a mistake.

After a while, the doorbell rang. I hastily went downstairs and said goodbye to my mom. She told me to watch out for upcoming cars and to be back before 12. I agreed as I usually do and opened the door. The girl in front of me shocked the soul out of my body. She was wearing a red and white t-shirt that is paired with a dark blue denim jacket. Her black slim fit jeans accentuate her thin figure and her white converse works perfectly with her get-up. Her hair is tied up into a ponytail, huh? She almost looks so unrecognizable. No, she looks more like--

"Wow...you look--"

"Amazing? Spectacular? Extraordinary?" She said while smirking.

"Stupefyingly unpleasant." She frowned on my remark. I laughed tremendously at my joke.

"I'm sorry! I'm just messing with you."

"Yeah, yeah. Laugh while you still can, Achi Sandon." She finally took the opportunity to use my family name, huh? Touché.

"I said I'm sorry!" I said while still laughing. She rolled her eyes at me.

"But seriously, how do I look?" She nervously asked me. I didn't expect her to worry about her appearance since most of the time, she doesn't really care about what she looks like to others.

"You look beautiful, Runie." She honestly does look incredible. She grinned while suddenly turning red and looked down. This is probably the first time that I thought to myself that she's actually quite...cute?

"We better go, Runie. We don't want to miss the whole show."

"Oh, come on. It's still too early! It's only 6 o'clock. I bet they're still setting up everything in there." She might be right. However, I did promise Jenny that we will be there. Although technically speaking...she said that we shouldn't be 'too late'.

"Alright, alright. How about we go eat somewhere near the venue? So that we won't be too late." She agreed and so I introduced her to my mom before we began our journey. It didn't take us too long to get to the bus stop, yet it did take us an hour and a half just to get to the venue. It was a good thing that I planned ahead. We immediately went for a fast food restaurant since that apparently has less people than other establishments near it. We were having so much fun just eating our chicken, burger, and fries. She even had a mustache because of her strawberry milkshake. We laughed and ate a lot, not noticing the time. When I looked at my watch, I was startled. It was already 9 o'clock. Oh, God! Jenny's going to freak! I sat up instantly and told her that we have to go. Seeing my urgency, she quickly packed up her things without asking when a sudden heavy downpour came upon us. What am I supposed to do now? Runie saw how restless I was so she immediately offered an umbrella for us to share. It was a bit small, enough for one person only. I told her that she can just use it and I'll just run, but she didn't like the idea of me getting sick because I'd be drenched. I instinctively grinned a bit. I didn't know that she cared about me that much. I eventually agreed. Aiming for the venue, we ran as fast as we could. While it did get us there faster, we also both got full on drenched. Not knowing what to do, we soon both started laughing at our crazy way of thinking. When all the laughter was out of our system, we smiled at each other. Gazing at each other's eyes...I feel feverish. What is this I'm feeling?

"Come on, Achi. We have to dry our clothes somewhere. Do you know where we can find some towels and new clothes for now? I don't have a spare." My train of thought was immediately cut off. Whatever it was that I was thinking a while ago must be due to the rain. Anyway, I don't know where to dry our clothes, but I do know where to buy some towels and clothes.
