Chapter 3

Maia’s Pov

I wake up and see that David is sound asleep. And he was snoring. I laugh quietly and get up without waking him. Im standing there and realize that I am naked. So I grab a white long sleeve and my gray Hollister sweats. I go to the bathroom and take a shower. When I get out I see that David is still asleep. So I go downstairs and cook some pancakes. When I finished cooking the pancakes David was still asleep. So I went back into my room and he was sleeping like a baby. So I get on the bed and start kissing him softly on the neck.” Get up sleepy head.” I say in a whisper tone in his ear.

“Uhh.” He wines.” Its still early.” He says in a small laugh.

I laugh.” David its like 11”. I laugh.

“Really. It feels like its 6.” He says while sitting up.

“Yeah. Well come down stairs. I made some pancakes.” I say getting up. As I was about to get up, he grabs my arm and pulls me towards him and kisses me. We kissed passionately until I pulled away to catch my breath. “ Come on, The pancakes are probably cold.” I say tugging at his arm. But then I forgot that he might be naked to.

“ Don’t worry. When you fell asleep I put my boxers back on.” He says laughing. Then we head downstairs and eat some pancakes. After we were done eating pancakes we went to the living room to watch a movie.”So what do you want to do today?” He ask while he puts his arm around me.

“I don’t know. What do you want to do.” I ask looking at him.

“Well I actually wanted to take you out today. Like on a first date. But that’s only if you want to. You don’t have to.” He says nervously.

“I would love that.” I say giggling because of how cute he sounded. Then I reached up to him and pecked his lips and went back to watching the movie. I was getting ready for mine and David’s first date together. He didn’t want to tell me where it was because it was a “Surprise”. When I was just about to go outside I heard the doorbell. So I answered it and saw David with some flowers. He was wearing a white flannel and some khakis. As for me I was wearing a black dress that is just above my knees with some black flats. When he saw me, I think he was shocked because he just stood there looking at me. “You ok?” I ask smiling at him.

“Yeah. You….. you look beautiful.” He says smiling at me.

“Thanks. You don’t look to bad yourself.” I say smiling at him. Then he takes my hand and we drive off. We finally get to where we are going. It was in the middle of nowhere. All I saw was a bunch of trees in the distance. “Are we lost.” I ask curiously.

“No. It’s a surprise remember. And by the we are here.” He says smiling and pointing to the trees I saw in the distance. “C’mon” he says smiling and taking my hand. We walked right into the woods which was kind of scary. We walking into the woods and when we hit the middle of the woods, there was a nice little pond with a picnic basket and a blanket layed out on the grass next to the pond. “Here we are.” He says looking around.I was shocked. It was so beautiful.

“Wow. Did you do all this by yourself.” I ask

“Yeah. I did it all right after I left the house to go change.” He says. “Cmon.”. He then leads me to the blanket and food he has layed out on the grass. We eat and have wine and talk about stuff. Then we get desert. We were having snowballs. The three things I like all in one; Coconuts, Chocolate, and strawberries. I had like 2 of those until it was almost time to leave. “Before we go.” David says. “I wanted to give you this.” He pulls out a box and opens it. It had a nice diamond ring with a heart. Then I thought. Is he proposing, it’s too early. “Don’t worry, im not proposing.” He says with a small giggle. Im confused. “It’s a promise rings Maia. I wanted to give you this to promise you something.” He takes it out of the box and slips it on my finger. “ I wanted to promise you that I will always love you no matter what. I wanted to promise that there is not one girl on this universe that I would love more than you.” By now I had tears in my eye. “I wanted to promise you that one day, I will make you my wife and we will have our own little family. So I just wanted to give you this ring to show you that you are more than my girlfriend and that I am in love with you. And that I always will be.” I couldn’t hold it in anymore, the tears just started flowing. He then grabs my face and kisses me. I put my hand in his hair and he moved his to the small of my back. Then I pulled away.
“ I LOVE YOU TO”. I say and hug him.
