"it's set for 4:50 next thursday," san was informing the latter two, who were sat by one another at the foot of yeosang's bed, opposite him. after the pear-haired boy had hacked into wooyoung's phone, finding not even a single trace of activity since he'd gone missing, yeosang and jongho were brought to the attention of the other useful thing san had discovered, or you could say stole — a doctor's appointment slip.
stupid, maybe, but san's convincing manipulated the others into thinking otherwise. "'nd don't worry, if he does realise that someone has taken his stuff, there's no way of him suspecting that the three college students he bumped into have anything to do with it."
jongho nodded his head, immersed in san's explanation. "i guess you're right... plus, we've come quite a bit since we started this, we can't back out now." jongho then shifted towards a rather quiet yeosang. "what do you think, sang?"
a bit zoned out, the male lifted his gaze up from his lap. "y-yeah, i agree with you."
smiling, san opened his mouth to reply, yet quickly shut it when a notification tone rang through the room.
jongho sent the two an apologetic look, before digging his cell phone out of his pocket. once having read whomever it was, he hurriedly got up to his feet, what yeosang made out to be worry glinting through his eyes. the thought reflected the feeling onto himself, but he didn't react, thinking it was none of his business.
"i-i need to go..." jongho announced nervously, and though yeosang had expected something to be wrong, gloominess sunk across his features. "i'm sorry, guys, but it's important..."
"it's okay, we understand," yeosang reassured him, standing up himself. "i'll walk you out?"
the older's proposal was shut down almost instantly, however, taking him aback. "don't worry about it, sang... again, it's important, i can't be late."
yeosang considered it to be selfish to press on further, therefore he reluctantly nodded. "got it... uh, get home, or wherever it is you're headed, safely, then."
jongho stepped forward, giving yeosang's hand a quick squeeze after folding his own over it; the older couldn't stop his lips from lifting contently. "i will. i'll see you at school tomorrow, won't i?"
"yeah, of course." awkwardly, yeosang ran his fingers through his strawberry blond hair, hoping jongho hadn't noticed how clammy his hands had become amidst the few seconds of contact they shared.
after returning the smile softly, jongho left the room, its door slowly creaking shut on yeosang and san. the older sat himself on the edge of his bed, both concerned about his friend he'd involuntarily grown to care a little too much for, and unsure on how to act now that it was just him and san.
the last time they'd been on their own like this was something close to a week ago, which didn't exactly end well... instead it was disastrous, causing the atmosphere between them to become uncomfortably tense. and by the way san was biting his lip, looking anywhere but at him, yeosang could guess he hadn't forgotten about the outcome of that night either. in his eyes, though, there was no longer any bad blood between them, and he wanted to make sure it stayed that way.
san suddenly cleared his throat, loudly, gaining yeosang's attention, who noticed the pear-haired boy's courage to face his direction. "so... what's up going on between you n jongho, then?"
eyes widening in surprise, yeosang chuckled in hope of disguising his flustered demeanour. "w-what do you mean? we're just good friends..."
