Iwaizumi opened the door to see a panting Ayumu. "You ran all the way here?" he asked, grabbing the plastic bags from the boy.
"Yea," Ayumu replied, folding his long sleeves while his eyes scanned the house. "How is he?" "The usual," Seijoh's ace replied with a sigh, as he arranged the contents of the bag in the kitchen's counter, he felt a warmth of another person behind him and the sharp chin on his shoulder.
"How are you?" the other boy whispered, unknowingly tickling the other's neck with his breath.Iwaizumi gulped and paused, "I'm alright." He wasn't used to Ayumu's physical charge when it came to that. The male manager hummed, as he removed himself from the other. "Go, clean up and rest, Iwa. I'll heat this." The dark-haired boy nodded and silently went upstairs.
Oikawa laid in his dark room. He listened to the muffled conversation below.
'He's here,' he turned to his side, looking at the door. Heavy footsteps echoed in the room as if the person was deliberately telling him that they were on their way.
The doorknob twisted, and the person came in. The two stared at eachother, Oikawa turned away first. An irked mark appeared on Iwaizumi's forehead. "I know you were expecting someone else but damn," he mumbled under his breath as he sat on the floor, back leaning against the bed. He closed his eyes as he relaxes his shoulders, enjoying the silence.
"Iwa-chan," the setter muttered. "Do you think he'll stay for awhile?"
"He came, didn't he?"
"But," Oikawa frowned at the reminder, "we lost, right?"
"Yea," Ayumu appeared, holding a tray of food. "And we lost too."
The setter sat up and stared at him. Then his face scrunched as if he was about to cry.
"I'm no longer in Shiratorizawa, Dumbkawa. I cheered for you, y'know?" Ayumu softly smiled as he placed the tray on a nearby table. He sat down on the bed, just beside the silent ace, who had bowed down.
"You've worked hard and deserved at least a little time off. I'm sure you guys did you best to cheer up your teammates, and now. I'm here for you."
A few seconds later, sniffles and silent sobbing echoed in the room. Ayumu caressed Iwaizumi's hair while rubbing Oikawa's shoulder as the setter laid his head on his lap.
"You should've come to Seijoh," the setter mumbled when he finally calmed down.
Ayumu snorted, "you really shouldn't be saying that. You sounded like Wakawaka."
"...," Iwaizumi laughed, wiping his tears away.
The trio moved into the living room, each of them wrapped in a soft, warm blanket. Ayumu chose Monsters vs. Aliens, something that had both what the other two wanted.
The setter's head leaned on the crook of the manager's neck while Ayumu's arm was around the ace's shoulder.
"I'm going to Tokyo," at the credits, Ayumu finally decided to drop something that was bothering him. "Practice match?" Iwaizumi questioned, stretching his back.
"Yea," the handsome boy nodded. "We got invited by Nekoma."
"Your kittens?" Oikawa mumbled. He remembered the boy talking about his black cats in Tokyo. Ayumu hummed, as he moved and laid on the floor.
"Hey, remember the time when we first met? You were searching for Tobio because he missed practice. Then, you saw me tutoring him and demanded to teach you too." Iwaizumi scoffed as he settled down beside the other,
Iwaizumi scoffed as he settled down beside the other, "He couldn't shut up that day finding another person as handsome as himself."
"Iwa-chan!" Oikawa whined, copying Iwaizumi. "You also wanted to see him too. You ended up studying with us!"
