You tell me to be myself, so I do.
Taking off the mask, letting me shine bright.
However, that is not enough for you.
Your judgements make it hard to sleep at night.I think, "What hardships will come tomorrow?"
And I prepare to hide behind the mask.
I'm not ready again for this sorrow,
For to hide myself is not my life's task."Who cares what society thinks?" you say.
I did. I cared what they all thought of me.
No more mask, I do not need it today.
I can be myself. I'm finally free.'Cause howe'er you make me feel in this hell,
Know that you can't stop me loving myself.
