YEAR FOUR, CHAPTER SEVENTEEN

UNFORGIVABLE CURSES
__________________________________

Defensive Against The Dark Arts. The only subjects that had the most cursed Professors and here they were again with Mad-Eye Moody who was about to show them the unforgivable curses.

Mad-Eye was using his wand to move a spider throughout the room. Draco let out a laugh, Mad-Eye looked straight at him.

"What are you laughing at?" The Professor ask and moved the spider on Draco's face.

Draco started freaking out and Francesca couldn't help but giggle at him, which earned herself a glare from the blond boy once the spider was away from him.

"Talented isn't she? What shall I have her do next? Jump out the window? Drown herself?" He said, everyone going silent and watching the spider. After explaining a bit more about the curse he asked the class for another.

Neville raised his hand and Mad-Eye called him up. Torturing the spider with the cruciatus curse. Neville was clearly bothered by what was going on in front of him and Hermione yelled at Mad-Eye to stop.

"Perhaps you could give us the last unforgivable curse Miss Granger," Mad-Eye said. Hermione shook her head and Mad-Eye casts a spell and the spider disintegrated.

"The killing curse. Only one person is known to have survived it. And he's sitting in this room," Mad-Eye said, approaching Harry's desk and taking a drink out of his flask.

A few hours later after a torturous first day of classes Francesca found herself sitting in the Common Room with her friends.

"That Mad-Eye is insane," Blaise said, thinking back on today's lesson.

"Tell me about it. Why can't we ever have a normal Dark Arts Professor?" Tracey sighed, shaking her head.

Francesca stood up. "Where do you think you're going?" Theodore asked, in an annoyed tone.

"No need to sound so angry Theo, i'm only taking my jumper off," Francesca said, rolling her eyes as she slipped out of her jumper and dropped it too the floor.

"Maybe we could go somewhere private," Theodore whispered, loud enough for everyone to hear. Francesca's cheeks went red, she definitely wasn't ready for that.

"No." Was all she said and Theodore scoffed.

Francesca didn't want to admit it but Theodore wasn't the best boyfriend. He tried to pressure her into things she didn't want to do, he stared at other girls for a little too long and he treated her as though she was an object. But again, she didn't want to admit it, especially not after what everyone had been saying to her. Francesca just wanted to prove everyone wrong.
