Chapter 3 - Wolf Moon (Part 3)

I sigh as i restock the shelves, once again. I really hate these tedious tasks. I sigh and stretch before starting on a new shelf that needs to be restocked.
"Why did i choose to work here? I mean, I love working here but restocking shelves over and over again bores me to no end" i say to Scott. However, he doesn't answer me at all making me turn. I watch him, silently, as he walks over to the doors of the vet clinic and turns the sign around so it now says the clinic is closed. My face falls into a frown as he turns it. What the hell does he think he is doing?
"Scott, what the hell are you doing the clinic isn't supposed to be closed for another 15 minutes?" i ask him but i get no response. I quickly follow Scott to the bathroom door. I'm confused when he leaves the bathroom door open. I lean against the door as soon as Scott lifts his top and takes off the guaze so he can clean the bite out, only for us to see no bite wound.
"Uh, how has it healed so fast?" i ask completely bamboozled. Scott shrugs his shoulders in an answer making me roll my eyes.
"Anyways it's your turn to feed the cats tonight" i say as i walk back over to the shelves to finish up what i started. Out of the corner of my eye i see Scott grab a cat feed bag and drag it into the room where the cats are kept.

A few minutes later, I suddenly hear the cats going wild as i log in the rest of the pets that came in to the clinic in the last hour, which isn't a lot. I look up as Scott scurries out of the room and slams the door.
"Oh my god, what did you do?" I ask as i finish of the last information sheet of a dog who came in 10 minutes ago. Scott looks into the cat room through the window before turning back to face me.
"I don't know. They just started to go crazy" Scott says. I look towards the door, when it id duddenly knocked on repeatedly. Someone is in a hurry. I follow closely behind Scott as we walk to the door. Scott opens in expecting to see a person with a pet in his arms, only to see Allison looking panicked. I stand beside Scott about to ask Allison why she looks so panicked but before i can ask her, she quickly explains it herself. "I didn't see it, I took my eyes of the road for like two seconds to change the song on my ipod, and then this dog, it just came out of nowhere". I stand staring at Allison in shock. She ran over a dog?
"It's all right, It's all right" Scott says trying to calm her down so we can get the necessary and crucial information out of her.
"Do you remember where it happened, so I can send animal control to go find it?" I ask but Allison shakes her head making me frown. How can she not remember where she hit a dog?
"No! i mean yes, i remember where it happened but the dog is-" Scott interupts her and i tut a him. So rude. "Wait, where is it?" He asks. If he had of wited she probably would have told us already.
"It's in my car" Allison replies making me smile kindly. Instead of leaving the dog on the road and coming here for us to send animal control, she brought the dog here herself. Cuts out the middle man. I also notice her pointing to the only car parked in the parking lot.
"Scott, you go get the dog, i will go feed the animals in our care while you examine the dog since it's your turn now" I say before i walk away and into the cat's room.  As soon as i'm finished feeding the pets i'm about to open the door to go back in the examination room bit when i see Scott wiping an eyelash off of Allison's cheek, who i also notice is wearing Scott's spare top. I chuckle when i realise that Scott has a crush on the new girl. Let's just hope that he doesn't mess this up.

I finally walk into the room directing both their attentions to me. I brush off my hands before turning to my brother. I look at the dog on the table to find it sleeping making me smile kindly. It's going to be just fine. I then look back up at my brother.
"It's your turn to close up the clinic, Scotty. I'm heading out. Remember to write out the infomation for the dog and lock up. It was nice to meet you Allison even under these circumstances but your really shouldn't be looking away from the road even for just a second. Bye love birds" I say waving and walking out before either of them can say a thing. Allison reminds me of someone who i don't really want to think about.
