apologies don't mean shit coming from a man

"Where the hell is Dru?" Draco muttered to Pansy, who sat beside him inconspicuously. The crowd around them was loud and bursting with joy from the fight ahead.

"Thirty seconds." She simply said, with a forced smile on her face. Draco looked at her, dumbfounded.

"What in the fuck is that supposed to mean?" He shook his head. She stayed quiet, clapping as the fight ahead of them ended, counting down in her head. "Pansy!" Draco's voice was quiet, but tone was furious. She waited five more seconds, before standing to her feet.

"I'm bored, lads. Maybe we could get out of here?" She said, flirtatiously, just in case anyone was eavesdropping. Draco still just stared at her like she had lost her mind, but Blaise caught on quickly. He always caught up with things before anyone else did.

"I think that's a brilliant idea." Blaise commented back, as Draco now stared at him. "Don't you agree, Malfoy?" He asked, eyes widening ever so slightly. Draco put it all together now, but was angry at the same time.

"Sure. I suppose it couldn't be too terrible of a time." He sneered at the illusion.

"Wonderful! I charmed your date in the bathroom, so she's waiting outside. Figured we could just dispose of her when we're finished?" Pansy asked, cocking her head to the left and smiling.

"Splendid idea." Draco's voice was monotone, and him and Blaise stood up, following Pansy out of the room and up the stairs. Once they reached the foyer, Draco grew close to Pansy's ear. "What did you let her do?" He asked sharply.

"Bloody hell, Draco, you could at least wait until we get out the door before you start talking dirty to me!" She said, loudly, playfully smacking his chest while eyeing the couple near one of the portraits to the left. Draco let out a silent groan as the three headed toward the door. They quickly realized others were now exiting as well, and Pansy's heart began to drop. They couldn't rush off toward the side of the manor and into the forest if people were watching.

"Oi! Malfoy." A firm grip on Draco's arm tightened and he turned to see Rodolphus in his view. "Surprised to see you at my little event. Shouldn't you be out in America whoring around and slacking with your duties?" The firewhisky radiated off of his breath and into Draco's face, making him want to gag.

"Don't see an issue with taking a night off every once in a while." He grit his teeth.

"I just find it very odd that you've decided to show face, especially with the shame you must've brought upon your family." Draco grew tired of Rodolphus acting like a teenager. I guess it was his own personal karma for how he was in school to others.

"That's real rich, you bringing up my family. Tell me, Rodo, when was the last time you spoke with my mother before her demise?" Draco couldn't help it. He wanted Rodolphus to know he knew what he did. And he desperately wanted to kill the man he suspected murdered his mother. But there was a time and place for that. Draco wasn't one to hold back, but with Dru involved and an actual chance for Voldemort to be taken down for good, he had to wait. Even if it killed him on the inside. "And say, you haven't heard from Goyle, have you? It's been a spell since I've seen him last." Draco sneered, wishing he could say how he truly felt.

Rodolphus's face dropped as he let go of the young Malfoy's arm, and straightened his back, confidently. "Right then." He muttered, glaring at all three of them now. "You better hurry along, I s'pose." Draco couldn't hold back his smirk as he nodded, following his friends out the door. His smirk faded and Pansy leaned into him. She glanced around as they stepped onto the snow covered pathway, and noticed a few guests drunkenly wandering around. "Now, where is she, Parkinson?" He asked her quietly.
