As the curtain rises, the room falls deathly silent “and the winners of this years regional competition is...” the announcer pauses briefly, to keep the suspense. The two dance troupes, Elite and The Next Step wait patiently on the stage, the tension passing through each of them as they wait for the results. “THE NEXT STEP” the crowd rises to their feet, clapping and cheering for the now victorious team. The judges come out on stage holding a huge trophy, the prize 32 teams were hoping to win but now for the first time in years The Next Step had finally won! Their Journey to regional’s was a bumpy one, it took tears, hard work and of course lots of drama for them to make it this far. The team was jumping up and down with joy, this was it The Next Step had won regionals and were heading to nationals. They had done it, they had come together as a team, as a family. Nationals here we come.
