Hermione's POV

 " Hey, what's up ? Oh your with them."

I looked up from my seat and noticed Bella standing looking increasingly uncomfortable. I looked at Seth and the guys whose looks she was averting. Seth had his fists clenched but he wasn't looking at Bella but you could see untouched hate in his eyes, Sam and Paul were staring at her clenching their fists and teeth, Sam slammed his hand on the table and still looking down whispered " Lets just GO !" Seth looked dejected, I heard Paul pull Seth and whisper " See, that's what we get when we become nice, another bloodsuckers bff " Seth nodded slowly but his face lit up, " hey Hermione, you know a few of our friends are gonna be at La push beach tomorrow and I was wondering if you wanna come, WITHOUT HER " Seth spat those last words out like acid but I nodded and looked at Bella's direction, she hung her head in shame but said nothing. 

" Hey what's going on with the 4 of you ? They don't seem like your biggest fans "

" Yea well, not everyone can like you, you know " Bella snapped and made her way to the door and I followed her. My lemon tea was left forgotten.

Edward's POV 

 I drove Bella home but I'm restless. This Granger girl has something special, something even Bella can't have. I come home feeling extremely sick and walk in to the living rooms but it's in the same state as I left it in. " You said we were safe after we killed James  and now your little girlfriend threatens our safety once again, this time with one of her own family members " Rosalie screamed at my face. " Babe, chill. Just let the guy talk. " Emmet said putting his arm around Rosalie's shoulders. She grunted. " Edward what do you mean by Bella's cousin being a threat ?". I explained everything. The airport, the mind reading and the blocking. Carlisle looked confused, " I understand the fact that she can block you from hearing her thoughts, but passing messages to your brain and reading your mind ??! , I think it's safe to conclude that she is no ordinary girl ". " Yes we understand that Carlisle, but WHAT is she ? " Esme asked even more confused. " Jasper started "Maybe it passed Carlisle's mind to consider this considering one must decide on fiction or reality to find the answer about Granger. But as far as I understand I have read about a form of human like her, one that has every bit of power mentioned by Edward and more. well I think it's pretty obvious she's a..... ", " ...a witch... " Carlisle finished as Jasper nodded knowingly while the rest of us were taken aback by this new information, except Alice who seemed to have read Jasper's mind and was  already prepared for the shock. 

That night Carlisle and Jasper gave us a whole background on the rivalry between witches, wizards and vampires and enlightened us on their powers. But Carlisle mentioned how he knows nothing about the battles they fought or their history, " that we will all find out in time when our friend miss Granger is willing to talk, until then we will assume she means us no harm...... but I'm imploring you all to be on alert ". We all nodded . 

Bella's POV 

I drive Hermione back home in silence. After our little run in with the wolf pack, I don't wanna stay there anymore. Hermione looks upset, like she misses them. I don't care, she should meet better people and have better friends.  I look over to Hermione who isn't sulking anymore but she looks upset. I'm about to ask why when " you know when it rains back in my boarding school my friend had this set of twin brothers who.... never mind " I looked at her but she didn't seem to want to tell the story, she just started crying slowly to herself. I stopped the truck and hugged her real tight " it's okay, your okay, what happened to those guys ? did something happen or do you just miss them ?". Hermione sat up straight and started fixing her hair. " No it's nothing, it's just that he left us last year so it's kind of sour subject to address. And I'm fine, I shouldn't cry like this, I look stupid", I looked at her in awe. She looked like she was always in pain, a little like Jasper. I squeezed her hand, " you know someone once told me, crying was a way of letting out unhealthy emotions. So sometimes it's okay to cry ". 

When we get home, Billy's left and Charlie had set the table for dinner. We sit down and as were all eating he starts up a conversation, " so Hermione considering your 18 this year and it's still January and if it isn't messing up your law training, would you consider going to Forks high. I mean you get 2 more years of education and you can take finals next year with Bella." I look over at Hermione send her messages through my eyes ' please say yes, lets get tortured together with double math's on Wednesday' and Hermione smiled at Charlie " I would love to, that is if Bella is okay with me being there that is ". I nodded furiously " Uh obviously I want you there you knuckle head " I punch her in the side and we both laugh. " Okay in that case, I'll deal with admission and Hermione tomorrow we can go grab a few textbooks and some other side material that your interested in ". I'm expecting Hermione to nod and say 'yea sure ' but instead she decides to make my head spin, " Oh tomorrow ?, this boy named Seth invited me to this beach party thing in La push, he said they were gonna be swimming and having a barbeque.... Is it okay if I go to that first ?". I get visibly tensed and I want to leave but my legs won't move and for some reason images of Jake are flashing through my mind. " Yea sure go ahead make some friends " Charlie says. Dinner is over and I run to my room and barricade myself there. ' How could she actually say yes to them ??! oh well, I guess I can't stop her'.
